i hit up the Putty web page downloads and there is way to many links to d/l things not being sure which one i needed i said nope and going to look elsewhere.

hit the telnet.org and another 30 links

i don't know what one i want and i don't want to spend days going through them all.

    Hi

If you can't pick one out of ten (which is the first btw, "putty.exe" as expected), with descriptions right in the first two lines, maybe you shouldn't play with it since it is a rather advanced software.

Why don't you use the Server Query tool right from the client instead?

    Regards

type the command "help" and search for the word server in the list of commands. You might find one that looks something like "servercreate," as it may have something to do with what you're looking for. You could also try reading the manual.
