    Is there a way to get the positionings of persons from wow?

    No, it is not possible via Lua. There is a way another voice client does it, but the only way is to access WoW's memory and that is against Blizzards terms.

    later on we will make out of the appscanner an plugin, with that we add lua scripting and add functions to retrieve this informations out of games.

    we wont provide ready scripts since this could end in a strange legal issue.

    It's possible to determine the position of other players from the WoW LUA API, however, you cannot connect a WoW LUA Plugin with the "outworld", e.g. by sending/receiving stuff via TCP/UDP/Named Pipes/Files/... from another application like TS (at least not in realtime) without hacking WoW.

    The other way round, you can display TS3 (or other used defined) data on the screen e.g. by proxying / detouring the D3D calls (which is completely legal, I already checked that with Blizzard), but you cannot access any information from the game then - at least not without extracting this data from WoW's memory, which is against Blizzard's Terms of usage and could (and most probably will) lead to an account ban -.-
