    [Solved] insufficient group modify power

When I try and set 'Group Modify Power' I get the following error 'insufficient group modify power'

I am trying to set up a group so that members that are alreay in that group can invite Guest members into it. ie Guild mates that join the new TS3 can be added to the group by other members.

But when the User (already a member of the group) tries to add another User he gets 'failed on i_group_needed_member_add_power'

When I try to add permission 'Group Member add power' as Admin it will only acept 0 as a value.

    Thanks in advance,

    Tony

You need to adjust i_group_needed_member_add_power not group_member_add_power. The error tells you what permission caused it so just go to that permission and make an adjustment.

What are the current values for all of the permissions that have been talked about so far?

    i_group_needed_member_add_power - I can not set this
    group_member_add_power - 25
    group_modify_power - I can not set this
need_group_modify_power I can not set this
Probably as I can not set the group_modify_power?

When you say you can't set it does that mean it's grayed out and you get an error when you attempt to add this permission?

does they currently have a value? Are you in the server admin server group?

I am an admin on my clan's server and by default for the Server Admin group all the GROUP->MODIFY permissions are set to 75 w/ a GRANT of 75.

    Server Admin Group Permissions
    i_needed_modify_power_group_modify_power 75 0 0
    i_needed_modify_power_group_needed_modify_power 75 0 0
    i_needed_modify_power_group_member_add_power 75 0 0
    i_needed_modify_power_group_needed_member_add_powe r 75 0 0
    i_needed_modify_power_group_member_remove_power 75 0 0
    i_needed_modify_power_group_needed_member_remove_p ower 75 0 0
    i_needed_modify_power_permission_modify_power 75 0 0

Something is totaly wrong here, I created a new group and still I am unable to set the Group_Modify_Power.

On my Server Admin group I have 75 on Grant but the value is not set, So I think I may have removed it by mistake? though I dont rememeber doing that.

Is there a way to reset admin permissions? I may need to do a new server lol

    Thanks for your help anyway.

Seem I must have removed the value 75 from Group_Modify_Power from the Server Admin Group. is there a way I can add this back on with out restarting?

    Thanks,

    Tony

When you say removed do you mean the permission is grayed out or you just changed the value 75? As far as I know you can just right click/add permission if it's grayed out and put whatever value you want in there w/ out having to restart the server.

Thanks poisonpanik for al your help, I have just restored a backup now and all is fine.

Seems the 'Group Modify Power' value of 75 had vanished from the server admin group. I dont remember even playing around with the server admin group (Why would I do that!)

So admin had no Modify power.

Luckily I had a backup and lost nothing.

    Thanks again,

    Tony
