    accounting server issue...?!

    Hi there,

    does Teamspeak Inc. have any issues with the accounting servers?
    My instance 0 logs are spammed with:

    DNS checks for accouting.teamspeak.com are also inconsistent!

    A DNS type A resolve for "accouting.teamspeak.com" results in "accounting.teamspeak.com. 66 IN A 80.190.145.215".
    A DNS type PTR resolve for "80.190.145.215" results in error NXDOMAIN.
    A DNS type PTR resolve for "62.146.63.84" (the last known IP of accounting) results in "84.63.146.62.in-addr.arpa. 86400 IN PTR accounting.teamspeak.com."!

    Also non of the both IPs above (the old one and the presumably new one) respond to PING.

    What's the FQDN of this secondary accounting server the log files refers to?

    I suspect a network issue since their website has just been offline for an hour or two

    Exclamation accounting.teamspeak.com not reachable?

    Hi there i have some Issues with My servers :

    2014-06-21 18:38:50.790192|ERROR |GetWanIP | | failed to retrieve WAN ip

    So i tried check all Firewall my external DNS and so on.

    accounting.teamspeak.com is not reachable for me if i try from my servers from my PC or external...

    if i check for it WHOIS DNS i get IP 80.190.145.215 is that correct?

    i come from IP 85.214.136.232 am i blocked maybe?

    ## EDIT

    i should say, i switched the Server with the Theamspeak-server, do i need a change for NPL now? NPL is down wherre do i should call now?

    Domain name is same like be4 just the ip changed.

    tested without license aswell not worked.

    I'm afraid we all are in the same situation as you, my server also writes "failed to retrieve WAN ip" and maybe the cause could be that accounting.teamspeak.com doesn't answer to ping so it's not reachable by tracert.

    With this behaviour, don't answering to ping, all the posts recommending to ping to accounting.teamspeak.com for testing issues with the license validation have no sense at all.

    Notes:
    1) I've answered about the fact of "failed to retrieve wan IP". I think this is happening in all the servers but the servers are running as usual.

    2) If the server final IP has changed and you have a NPL license that needs to have a website, you have to inform of this change because the NPL is "linked" to the IP. This is one of the questions

    You can always use nmap -PN -p2008 accounting.teamspeak.com as a substitute...

    HI yes i see that there is TCP 2008 open,

    also if i try to check netstat i see there is a try to connect to accounting, but it dont works:
    netstat -a cut: it is just waiting. and end after some seconds...

    Accounting server still down?

    This has been reported by others for some time, so I know it's not just me, but what are the repercussions for those that need to move their server or change IP?

    Ok, been moved to a 4 year old thread without any indication of what the problem is. This problem has been reported by others (recently), why no feedback from Teamspeak?

    I can't reproduce this here.
    Server runs fine.

    TS Accounting Server Down?

    My server keeps restarting due to not being able to connect to the licensing server, and in addition when I try to ping accounting.teamspeak.com I get a bunch of request timeouts (I've tried from numerous different servers and through VPNs so it's not my location).

    What's going on?

    Nothing is going on with the accounting server.

    It's normal, that you can't ping accounting.teamspeak.com. It's blocked.

    My server keeps restarting every 2 hours.
