    Hi,

I have a dedicated windows 2003 server and i want to install TS3 server as a windows service, I am unable to find any documentation on how this can be achieved. Has anyone managed to do this? thanks.

    Download the Win File.

"I haven't even tried to find" would be more honest wording.

I aggree with you on spwira and daemon. A service is running in the background, without having the problem that when you logoff, the application is closed. No need for manually starting up the application after a reboot and automatic recovery of service when it fails.

Still, I was able to use SRVANY to create a service and run the ts3server executable. After a reboot the service didn't start tho, it still required a manual start so.. That's not the complete solution I was looking for. I wonder how TS3 providers do this.. Do they have 15+ console windows on their screen? It seems impossible.. =]

    Regards,
    René

    Hi guys,

the tool sryany works with a cmd.
My problem was, that ts3server_win.exe do not switch the currently directory. And sryany use the directory c:\windows\system32.

I have elimante the problem with a cmd.
My example use the directory c:\program files\ts3\ts3server_win.exe

    1. create a new file startServer.cmd under c:\program files\ts3\
    2. edit the file with notepad
    c:
    cd "c:\program files\ts3\"
    ts3server_win32.exe
    3. set the registry properties Application (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Servi ces\TS3\Parameters) to "c:\program files\ts3\startServer.cmd"
    4. Restart the Service

    best regards

    Ba
