    [Rejected] Windows Service of Server

    Hello,
I would find (and im sure others will too) if we could make the server
(windows server, teamspeak 3) run as a service, right now you can't get it to run as a service using srvany.exe and im sure that some of us don't want to buy software that will do this for you.

I tried to search the forums but it returned an error, so sorry if this has been brought up before.

Thanks and have a great day.

I used "Sheduled Tasks" as work around to get this functionality. Just set the schedule to "At System Startup".

My first attempt failed with following error in the log file:
    "2010-03-05 08:53:08.453125|INFO |ServerLibPriv | | Server Version: 3.0.0-beta18 [Build: 10190]

A little delay timer via a batch command file solved this problem:

    "
    @echo off
    sleep.exe 60
    start ts3server_win32.exe
    "

Ehh??? Why can't both features co-exist like so many other server softwares have?

It is a real annoyance to have to use 3rd party daemons/wrappers to run TS3 as a service, and I think most dedicated servers doesn't login to desktop (or have a desktop) so a trayicon will rarly be used.

If you change your mind, it is fairly simple to add. Here are a couple of guides:
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/libr...v=VS.100).aspx
    http://www.devx.com/cplus/Article/9857/1954

Oh and if you add it, please also add it to ts3dns.
