You can change the needed security level with ServerQuery too.

Example as a server property: virtualserver_needed_identity_security_level=8

Arrow TS3 - Reset security level?

Hello, I was testing out the security level function, and I set it to 34 -.-
How can I reset it? when I try to reinstall, the same security level is set.
I deleted whole the server folder and /var/lib/teamspeak-server folder

Hi, if you are using SQLite as database you can edit your security level with a tool like sqliteman and set your security level down.
If you use MySQL just edit your DB via phpMyadmin.
Dont forget to stop your server before editing the DB.

There should also be another thread on this if I remember correctly. That guy also solved it by editing his database.

    Secruity Level

Hi, when i join my TS server it says security level to high and it recommends 100 but the max i can get is 30. Is it possible to change the required security level through something else since i cant join the server. Can anyone help?

It's the server owner who did setup a required level of 100. And all clients must have a minimum of 100 now.
The only way to change it from outside is to use the ServerQuery.

Here are the Query commands to set it to a needed level 8:
    Code:
    use port=9987
    login serveradmin password
    serveredit virtualserver_needed_identity_security_level=8
If you do not have QueryAcces -> Contact your hoster.

This was your second question, that has been answered already.
Beeing proactive would've helped you before asking the question. We have such a feature to search for answers.

Have you a query login or a web interface login to administrate the server?

Server admins, security levels and truly bad service

i recently was messing with the security levels on my server in order to make it safer from spammers etc. when i set it to about 35. thinking this wasnt so bad, however, upon exiting the server i found i couldnt enter again, i am the admin, i had no idea id also need to increase mysecurity, but this is when i find that the security level would take 15 hours,

i reached out to my server provider, one of the teamspeak offical reccomendations, my.gamehosting.support, and found that their support tickets do not even work, their support email is never answered, theyve sent me several "overdue bills" emails, even though i have paid the bill, even their website says this and will not allow me to pay again. ive had to email them through paypal and im still waiting on a reply. so they are useless and will not help me.

my main concern is that i have waited the 15 hours it stated to get to security level 35, but it only gets to 34 then it stops and the green pulsing bar goes grey, and nothing further happens, even 2 hours later. is there a way around this, as my server is still being paid for but i have no access. and the hosts are not willing to comply.

The only way around this, is to set the needed security level lower via ServerQuery. -> How to in post #6
But i don't think your hoster gave access to that at all or?

Or you need to wait hours or days. It's random, this is way i say days.

it appears as though i dont have the querey port, il have to leave my pc on for days then. im angered that this company was on teamspeaks reccomended, i think they need to be exposed for this kinda behaviour, ive just been left in the dark, paying for something ive only used for two weeks and cant even access. and they have the audacity to accuse me of not paying them.
