    server crashing since latest update

I'm on Bluehost, which has been great for hosting TS servers for a long time. Since the most recent update, it seems like the server is crashing a lot. It looks like it might be due to CPU usage, I'm not sure. I checked the logs and it doesn't show anything (I'll post the last one below. In the control panel for the hose there is a CPU throttling section and it looks like it's throttling my CPU usage, which is what makes me think that's why the server is crashing. Like I said, it didn't start happening until I updated to the latest TS3 server beta.

Either way, I'm looking for a script to add or a way to modify the ts3server_startscript to restart the server if it crashes. I have limted access to file system since it's a host and not my own server. Most of the scripts I've seen require you to create a file in locations I don't have access to. Also, I'm not super well versed in linux. I can get around and do things, but i'm not much on scripting.

After reinstalling and configuring the same thing seems to be happening. So something must have been changed that makes TS3 use more CPU than before because according to my host they haven't changed the throttling policies. Again, I'm using beta21 64 bit on centOS.

Thanks for the input so far, great community.

STill having issues with the server being shut down for whatever reason. I'm thinking it's the CPU usage, but I cannot get anyone at blue host to confirm this.

I'd still like to get some sort of script to automatically restart the service. I'm quite amazed at how no one has even attempted to give any sort of effort to help me out here. It's really disappointing. People that troll this place and hate on the software get more responses than I have.

We are having the same issues with TS3 and Blue Host. We have been trouble shooting it the past few days as the latest server build uses even much more resources than the previous ones, causing it to crash frequently, and I mean frequently. We can even force a crash just by switching channels repeatedly and building up the CPU usage.

So their are two things here:

    1. Blue Host does have a CPU throttling in place. That is expected, since they can not really give you unlimited.

    2. TS3, especially the latest build, seems to have a memory leak somewhere on the server side, and uses too much of the CPU, thus causing it so that Blue Host, once TS3 hits the max CPU usage to be sent a kill order and thus effectively terminating your process.

For now we are actually having to create a script ourselves to clean up the server here and there since it seems TS3 was developed with none of this in mind. Something on TS3 is using more resources than it should and even not clearing out resources that it should.

Our current script restarts the server a few second after it shuts down, but this needs to be looked into more by teamspeak developers I believe.

EDIT: Just noticed this should be in the server support, not the client support, but still never a response to his posts makes me wonder how much they actually look at stuff here at all, so annoying.
