Turn the volume slide on the client down all the way... or just click MUTE SPEAKERS/HEADPHONES

I am wanting to be able to select another user in the channel that I am channel admin for and be able to mute them for for all people in that channel. The mute key that comes up then right clicking the user is only a local mute that mutes them for me only

You can do this as server admin:
Set the client permission (of this target client) for talk power to -1 and tick negate. Now this client is muted on the whole server for everyone.

Of course you can also create a server group with this permission and just add the client to this group.

There is no real function to mute someone on whole server.
The only option is like Stefan1200 already said, but user still grant him talk power to talk.

Can I globally Mute, except a few?

Okay I am new to all this.
    Teamspeak build 11315
    version 4.6.2 beta 3

When I have a Guest speaker I want to be able to globally mute everyone except the speaker and myself and maybe a couple of others. Is there a global mute as you enter team Speak setting?

Then I can unmute the couple people I want to speak?

Set the needed_talk_power for that channel higher than everyone's talk_power in that channel. Then you can right click->grant voice.

    Edit by myself

The answer is still: This is not possible and won't be included.
Use the needed Talk Power for a channel. This permission makes it possible for you to mute everyoneenough Talk Power.
Also remove the ability to grant Talk Power ot others.

Do you refer to your previous post? Because this answer could suggest a "there might be this function in the future"

i made a group that i can set someone to that mutes the person globaly but it didnt work on server admins. gonna have to figure out how to fix that so it will be eaisier to mute them instead of having to go through the Client permissions.

Remove the Talk power from Server Admin group or set it to a value of 0 or -1.
Or Remove the skip flag for Talk Power.
The Server Admin group has b_client_skip_channelgroup_permissions enabled by default.
This value sets Skip to every permission for that group.
This means no Channel Group & Channel permission overwrites the values for an Server Admin.

When you plan to remove this permission, then you have to skip each permission manually.
    Think about it.
