    [solved] Server on Windows FAILS

    Hey

Im having a mejor problem maintaning a server on Windows 7.

    So here's what im doing:

    1. Download TS3 and TS3 server for x64 systems.
    2. Install TS3 Client.
    3. Run TS3 server.

With step 3. i get the ServerQuery username, password and ServerAdmin Token. (I keep the window with username, password, token open)

    All good sofar right ?!
Now i use the Token and set up the server as i want it to be with icons, permissions, channels. (The username, password, token window is still open)

I quit TS3 Client and reconnect (I have my server in Bookmarks and autoconnect) and it does without a problem. AS LONG AS THE USERNAME, PASSWORD, TOKEN window is still open!!!

Cuz as soon as i close that window it will not connect to my server, giving me these lines:
<12:13:23> Trying to connect to server on MyServerName:9987
<12:13:29> Failed to connect to server
I have done this 3 times now configuring the server 3 full times (Pain -.-)
and all 3 times i ended up with same result: If i close the Username password token window, it will not start my server!

    So any suggestions ?
    THX

That window is the serverprocess if you close the window, you shut down the server.

Upon a second start of the server the Window should display the following :

    Code:
    TeamSpeak Server 3.0.0-beta22 [Build: 10723]
    (c)TeamSpeak Systems GmbH

Logging to file started (no console logging on Windows)
Do not delete your files and just start the executable again. This will bring your server back up....

[Edit] nice timing @ poison ^^

The window you are referring to as the password/token window IS the server. If you close this the server is no longer running.

Yes i have realized this, right after i sent this thread.

So now my question to u is, the last time i set the server up completely, and i closed the "server" window it did not create the settings file "ts3server.sqlitedb"
And when i restarted the server it gave me a new username password token.

So i gues ill start the server, save the content info, and close the window, then restart the server (this time im not supposed to get any info) and run the client and set up the virtualserver to my choosing.

    Am i right ?

    THX for reply

If you do not have the file "ts3server.sqlitedb" then yes, you will need to create a new server. Double check after starting the server exe file to verify that the "ts3server.sqlitedb" has been created. No point it doing all the setup work if it won't be saved

Yah i think many ppl have'nt realized that the Username/Password/Token window is the server window as i have read many posts about how they cant reconnect, my initial thoughts were also that, that window just gave u the Information nuttin else lol
