    The client needs an installed icon pack. These icons are and stay local.

    No some smiley packs have more them 4 icons
    Your custom icon pack needs emoticons.txt
    Example from txt file:
    Code:
    cool.png = "8)"
    sad.png = ":-("
    smile.png = ":-)"
    twinkle.png = ";-)"
    You can find the default icons for chat under
    C:\Program Files\TeamSpeak 3 Client\gfx\default\emoticons

    I have added the MSN smileys to the emoticon folders (.PNG format) and also edited the emoticons .txt file.

    It still only allows my to choose from 4 emoticons.

    Is there an extra line I need to add to tell it how many emoticon I have?
    How do I get it to display more than 4 emoticons?

    Client 3.0.14 will have following features for emoticons.

    - PNG icons bigger 16x16 pixels can be added, but will be rescaled to 16x16
    - Animated GIF icons can be used too, but won't play in gui or chat.
    - You can see the word, that would trigger your Icon in chat (see bee on my picture).
    - There is only 1 limit for icons and that's Icons 5 per Row. You should not use 1000 Icons.
    - All Icons stay local only. Your mates must have that icon pack installed.

    How to add more Icons explained here in post #4
