Hello.
TS3 Server installed on OS X 10.11.6.
The same machine hosts VNC Server and a Mumble server. The ports forwards for both of those work fine.
All of the TS3 ports are forwarded as described in Post #1 of this thread. (Net Admin for a living, so I'm familiar with the process.)
Though the program is allowed incoming connections in the firewall rules, I disabled the OS X firewall for troubleshooting.
I doubt that Comcast is blocking the ports, but I tried port translation just to be sure (e.g. custom port number mapped to 9987) and the ports are still not showing as open. (canyouseeme.com fails to find responding services for any of the TS3 ports.)
Forwarded standard ports and custom ports (port translation) for FTP and SSH as a test. All worked as expected.
What am I doing incorrectly in that the TS3 Server is not responding to WAN connections with the steps described?
Thank you,
-Doc
TeamSpeak voice ports are UDP. If you're a Net Admin for a living you should know that these are connectionless and you cannot really check if they're 'open'.
If the server is running and you can connect to it using the TeamSpeak client from an external network you know it's working.

Hi Guys.
Please advice if i have dine anything wrong.
I have setup a teamspeak 3 server 32 bit on a old PC at my house. The computer is on a static IP so public IP wont change.
I have forwarded the 3 Ports:
UDP Port 9987
TCP Port 10011
TCP Port 30033
I can see them in netstat listening. I have connected to this server with my localhost and from other computers inside my network on a internal IP so all good there.
ISSUE: My friends from outside the network cant connect to the server via Public IP. (I have also disabled all antivirus's and firewalls as i thought this might be a issue)
Does anyone have a solution for this or am i missing something?
Regards
Ruan

Hi everyone,
I write this message cause i didn't find any answer on the web.
I installed teamspeak server on my ubuntu server (mediaserver and Nas). For this i followed this tutorial: https://www.globo.tech/learning-cent...ver-ubuntu-16/
The server is active and i can join it localy from any computer. (it's still a good news).
I configured my provider router to open the ports 9987, 10011 and 30033 to the internal IP of my server.
The server is visible in the list server (TeamSAS server 2)
From the external of my network, i cannot join ma TS server, i have the message: "Failed to connect to server".
I asked a friend,and he has the same problem.
Is it possible to help me? please
Thanks all of u.
D4rk.

Hello, I am having trouble with getting my server setup online. Here is a Screenshot of the Ports I port forwardedand here is a screenshot of my IPv4 Address
I have Port Forwarded using my router I have also tried upnp port mapper and other upnp applications and everything has port forwarded in the application but the ports wont open and I know I am able to port forward cause I host a few game servers and they work fine. If someone could help me with this that would be much appreciated I can also provide more screenshots or info if anyone needs it.

I did it on a centos VPS.
I could connect my both laptops and made one of them admin by putting the privilege key.
But my friends can't connect to it. Can anyone help me please?

Hi,
I've maked TS3 server on my PC, but now it does not work. It worked fine about 1-2 weeks, after this time server runs, but i can't join the server (like everyone). I tried to download server files and make new server - din't helped. It's not firewall, i unlocked it. Propably anything with my PC or server's license (i don't get license, i thought i did not need it for server that works max. 5h/week).
Info about server and my system:
Server version: 3.0.13.6 64bit, Windows
Windows version: Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit SP1
Thanks for help,
koksek9
I have used TS a lot in the past but more when it was a lot simpler to run and admin the server.
I have TS 3 Server running on a desktop pc on my nework. I can connect to this fine on my LAN but when I try and setup the port forwarding to port 9987/UDP I keep getting the following error from my Virgin Hub 3.0.....
The local ports between 9987 and 9987 on IP 192.168.0.230 have been added as virtual server already, please try another one.
I don't really fully understand the inner workings of the server but it does seem to be setup as a "virtual server".
Unfortunately, unless I can get this resolved I'm not going to be able to friends on to my TS server.
Any provide any enlightenment please?
Hi;
I installed ts3server on ubuntu server 14, but port 9987 always appears as closed, ports 10011 and 30033 appear as open .. any idea what it might be?

What do you mean with "appears as closed" ? Did you check that on a website?
The websites can not show you if a port with UDP is opened.
Check your router , firewall etc. Or test it at least wit ha person from outside.
Are you sure a server is running at all? Check your server log.

My problem is that I have a server with fixed ip, no firewall active, and when I type the netstat -tlpn command it only appears.
Proto Recv-Q Send-Q Local Address Foreign Address State PID / Program name
Tcp 0 0 0.0.0.0:10011 0.0.0.0:* LISTEN 935 / ts3server_linux
Tcp 0 0 192.168.2.11:3306 0.0.0.0:* LISTEN 1003 / mysqld
Tcp 0 0 0.0.0.0:30033 0.0.0.0:* LISTEN 935 / ts3server_linux
Tcp 0 0 0.0.0.0:22 0.0.0.0:* LISTEN 890 / sshd
Tcp6 0 0 127.0.0.1:8005 ::: * LISTEN 1099 / java
Tcp6 0 0 ::: 8080 ::: * LISTEN 1099 / java
Tcp6 0 0 ::: 80 ::: * LISTEN 1048 / apache2
Tcp6 0 0 ::: 22 ::: * LISTEN 890 / sshd
-t only shows TCP if I remember right.
-u should show UDP (the voice port is UDP).
Use netstat -tulpn to see both protocols
