    Client Log - Description change

    Hi Teamspeak Community

I tried to find a way to see which person changed a Client description. I found nothing in the clientlog in the Teamspeak 3 Client. Is this possible to see a description change in a log?

Just ask your SA, by default only admins have permission to do this.

Not quite correct, when I look at a fresh server install. Default setting is only Server Admins can change it, Guests and Normal users cannot.
Of course, if everyone is Server Admin, everyone can edit the description. But in that case editing descriptions is probably your smallest problem...

    b_client_modify_description
    b_client_modify_own_description

About the original question: Changing descriptions is not logged. I am not sure if this is important enough to be added. Server logging should be kept for important events only.

The server is live since Beta1, maybe the default settings changed?

Possible. I tested with a new server install.

With the "important" remark I meant server log. Sorry, perhaps a misunderstanding on my side. Too much server logging would impact performance. For client log it does not matter. I added a line to the client logfile and the chat area: Your description has been changed to "blafahsel".

It's not perfect because the "by whom" is missing, but currently the client does not receive this information by the server. Not fixable by me, but I will ask our server dev if this could be changed (cannot promise, though).

Hello, Can we please get a feature or update that let's us see who changes people's descriptions? I am on a teamspeak where the Admin loves to give admin to just anyone and everyone, and in which case leads to description wars. I would like to see an update or patch that simply gives us a log of who changed who's description and when. Please, I would really like to see this.
