Restrict to move someone into a specific channel??

    Hello,

    I have several channels:

    Lobby
    Recruitments (Sub of Lobby)

    Plus all other alliancechannels.

Now what I want is the following:

-No one exept a specific servergroup (CEO) can join Recruitments

-Only a specific servergroup (Guests) can be moved to this specific channel only by CEO

    -Guests cannot be moved elsewhere

    -CEO cannot move anyone else

I hope I did not forget a kriteria... Is this possible??

    Thanks in advance!

This ansewar somehow makes me very sad. In my opinion one should not assume someone else doesn't use the search function, just because that someone wasn't able to find any usefull information.

That'd be as if I assume you just said this, because of you being too lazy to answear the question or at least to point me to the right direction and still have the postcount.

    Very sad.

Or you are too lazy to find the answer or search yourself.
    This is an other subject.

    Well,

    You have video tutorial:
    Permissions System Basics

    Permissions System for Advanced Users

    You have the documentation :
    TeamSpeak 3 Permissions Guide.txt

    Information :
To restrict access to an channel you can set "i_needed_join_power" of the channel and "i_join_power" to the server group

I know the basics. Still I can't figure out how to make it in a way that Guest-group cannot be moved, exept into the Recruitments-Channel.

Sorry if this was too obvious to ask for.

    ok

If you want that user of guest group can't moved, removed the "b_join_permanent" permission.

If you want they only moved in the specific channel set
For the guest group set "i_join_power" to 20
For the specific channel set "i_needed_join_power" to 20
And for all channel set i_needed_join_power to 50

Of course you need to set the last power to the rest of your server group
    (this is just an exemple)

Ah, now u gave me the gist

    Thank you very much!

At least I can my problem better now:

I've now set 'i_client_join_power' for 'Guests' to 5 and the 'i_need_join_power' for the 'Recruitments' to 5 also.

Since 'b_join_permanent' and the two others are removed, 'Guest' is not able to join 'Recruitments' himself.

To avoid 'Guest' to be moved elsewhere every other channel's 'i__client_needed_join_power' needs to be above that.

Also 'Guest' has a higher 'i_client_needed_move_power' than everybody's 'i_client_move_power', exept 'CEO', that is why 'Guest' cannot be moved by someone else than 'CEO'.

    The question now is:

How do I avoid that 'Normal' hops by and disturbs 'Guest' and 'CEO' in the 'Recruitment'-channel? I either have the problem that the 'i_client_join_power' of 'Normal' is high enough to just join the channel and disturb. Or if both 'i_client_join_power' and 'i__client_needed_join_power' is high enough to move 'Guest' in any of the channel 'Normal' can join.

See why it wasn't that obvious?

    Read this :

    http://forum.teamspeak.com/showthread.php?t=56453

The problem and that if we give you all the answers, and you may not understand all the potential of the system of permission. It is always instructive to test and make mistakes than to have answers.

Everything I've said is in the documentation
