    Using MySQL on the TeamSpeak Server

    First off, I'm running the TeamSpeak 3 server off of a Linux 64-bit OS, and I'm currently using the default SQLite database, but I'd like to switch it over to MySQL.

    I already have the conversion done and everything however when I try to launch the server with the MySQL Plugin. I get this.

    2010-08-16 12:10:17.320849|CRITICAL|DatabaseQuery | | unable to load database plugin library "libts3db_mysql.so", halting!

    Code:
    [email protected] [~/bin/TS]# ldd libts3db_mysql.so
            linux-vdso.so.1 =>  (0x00007fffdadfe000)
            libmysqlclient.so.15 => not found
            libstdc++.so.6 => /usr/lib64/libstdc++.so.6 (0x00007f86d2734000)
            libm.so.6 => /lib64/libm.so.6 (0x00007f86d24b1000)
            libgcc_s.so.1 => /lib64/libgcc_s.so.1 (0x00007f86d22a3000)
            libc.so.6 => /lib64/libc.so.6 (0x00007f86d1f4b000)
            /lib64/ld-linux-x86-64.so.2 (0x0000003492200000)

    Obviously, I'm missing libmysqlclient.so.15, however I'm hosting this off of a shared host, so I can't install anything to the lib64 directory.

    How can I load this dependency to the same directory and make my TS3 server use it without creating any kind of symbolic links?

    I had the same problem. I got this error message some weeks ago, because I tried to run the 32 bit version of the TS3 server on a 64 bit Debian OS. After using the 64 bit version of TS3 server, this problem was gone.

    Are you sure not to have any similar problem?

    I am 100% positive I am using the 64 bit version of the server on a 64 bit Red-Hat based Linux distro on BlueHost.

    Maybe you have installed mysql-client version 5.1, while TS3 requires only 5.0.
