    [RELEASE] WMP Mute!

    hey guy's

i've found out how collect now speaking clients :P

so i've done the plugin to mute windows media player when somebody speaks.

perhaps i'll do another version of it, where you can choose if you want to mute, play/pause, or control the volume (this version)

i've only a 32bit compiler, so if anyone can compile vc++2008 in 64bit i can send you the code.

    have fun!
    yours tomix

    ps:
    tested with wmp12(32bit/64bit) on win7(64bit)

    UPDATE (16.09.2010)
i've uploaded the source, so that you can change it yourself if you want to.

    UPDATE (17.09.2010)
great news: 64bit version compiled by Thomas!

    UPDATE (31.10.2010)
version 1.2 for 32bit is available now! (wmp_mute_2_32bit.zip)
the source is availabe in wmp_mute_code.zip
in this version you can set a delay for the "unmute" command.

The 64bit .dll isn't in the file in this post. If you still need someone to compile the code for you I can do it and reload it up to this thread.

yes i know, 4nt1h4cker wanted to compile it, like he wrote.

the reason is that i have the express version of visual studio and i didn't find out how to configure 64bit

let's hope that he'll do so.

if anybody else would like to compile, i can send the code but you need the qt sdk.

This works nicely! Any way you could make it where it just lower the volume instead of a full mute?

yes that's possible, in the plugins section you can press propertys(or sth. like that in the english version :P) and then you can choose:

    pause & play
    decreese by 10%
    .....
    decreese by 90%
    mute

if regular wmp volume is on 40% and you choose decreese by 50%, your volume when talking isn't 20%!!! it's 0%! after talking, the volume isn't back to 40% but to 50%

so what i want to say, dont choose a value larger then your wmp value because you don't choose the percent but percent points
