Here is a guide on how to reset / change the password: http://forum.teamspeak.com/showthrea...word-Look-here
Tried resetting, it still says that it's incorrect :s
Hi, I am trying to change the file transfer port and the query port and I'm having no luck.
I'm not sure if this is correct. I entered:
login serveradmin (password)
use sid=1
serveredit filetransfer_port= (port)
I got a msg=ok
Then I typed:
serveredit query_port= (port)
I got a msg=ok
I restarted the server and I was still able to use telnet on port 10011 and the default file server port of 30033 was still in use. Nothing changed!
I heard something about an .ini file, but I think that's for Linux. My server is on a Windows XP computer and I don't see an .ini file in my server folder.
TIA!

Well can you tell me what to type. I changed the voice port from help with YouTube. I think the info. was old. The docs indicate those are the commands.
This thread should help you: http://forum.teamspeak.com/showthrea...ht=change+port
Google and the forum search are also helpful tools.
Okay, I managed to change the file port using this command: instanceedit serverinstance_filetransfer_port=
It seems to have worked. Now I need to change the query port and I see no reference in the ts3_serverquery_manual.pdf
Read ALL docs ENTIRELY. Is it really that hard?
Because of a lot of unwanted traffic or connection attempts on the default voice port 9987 i now think it a wise move to change this from the default setting, i have tried some of the suggested methods(using server query) but they don't work the port doesn't change is there a definitive method that actually does work, I'm running my ts server on windows xp btw and only run 1 server instance

serverstart
1. serverstop sid=1
2. use -virtual 1
3. serveredit virtualserver_port=9988
4. use 0
5. serverstart 1
If you have a problem with the query commands, try YaTQA.
