    Change voice port of server

Hello, im trying to change the default port on my server (9987) to 9988, But teamspeak 3 wont let me =(

I've tried the command line to change the port, C:\Teamspeak\ts3server_win32.exe default_voice_port=9988 and restarted the server, but still doesn't work

i've even done the ts3server_win32.exe createinifile=1 and changed the port on there, saved...exited and restarted the server, still connecting on same port, ive check the ts3 info via query and it still shows using port 9987.

...I will even allow somone to connect to my server where the teamspeak server is being hosted at (under my supervision of course, and using Teamviewer)

You want to change the voice port of an existing server?

    • The voice port can only be changed on the server query with the command serveredit virtualserver_port=xxxx

    1. click me first to get an "how to use the Query Interface with Putty"

    2. Use these commands in the Query Interface
    Code:
    login serveradmin yourpassword
    serverstop sid=1
    use sid=1 -virtual
    serveredit virtualserver_port=9988
    use sid=0
    serverstart sid=1
You want to change the Query or filetransfer port?

    • The Query port can only be changed on the server start via command line parameters.
    • The filetransfer port can be changed via command line paramter or with the
      query command instanceedit serverinstance_filetransfer_port=xxxxx

    How to
Following steps do explain how change the ports for Query and Filetransfer (for all operation systems).

    1. Start your server with command line paramter createinifile=1
->> a ts3server.ini should be created with some comamnd line paramters (with default values)
    2. Open the ts3server.ini and change the value for query_port= and/or query_ssh_port= and/or filetransfer_port=
->> Do not use a value from 0 -1024. Most ports (up to 1024) are reserved from your operation system.
    3. Stop your server instance
    4. Replace the paramter createinifile=1 with inifile=ts3server.ini
    5. Start your server and check your logs for the ports.

Thanks it worked, you might want to change your commands though, its acutally serverstop sid=1 (but don't do it cause it wont work. dont bother)

    so just do

    login serveradmin <password>
    use 1
    serveredit virtualserver_port=9988

    then reconnect teamspeak manually =|

Change Voice, Filetransfer or Query port

    Edit by mod

New answer was added in Post #2

    Edit end

    Hi guys

I have a few problems with the Teamspeak Server 3.
I wont to change the file transfer port(default 30033) to 14534.
So, what i tried was to change it with the ServerQuery commands:

    login serveradmin *********
    use 1
    serveredit filetransfer_port=14534

    Outbut:
    error id=0 msg=ok (16 ms)
    error id=0 msg=ok (52 ms)
    error id=0 msg=ok (49 ms)
    Total: 117 ms

So I'd restart the server, but the port haven't changed.

    I also tried this command:

    serveredit virtualfiletransfer_port=14534

But what worked was to change the Voice Port:

    login serveradmin *********
    use 1
    serveredit virtualserver_port=8767

Restart the server and the new port worked.

Have you any ideas what will work?

    Greetings Mezzomix

P.S: My English isn't so good, but I hope you anderstand what i mean.

    Thanks for the answer

So i'd tried that with the start parameter--> printscreen

    But it didn't worked.

Did I forgot a "space" or something else?

    I use only one Virtuelserver
But this server has the id 1, and default is 0(I think).

So do I have to use a command like "use 1" before?

Did they really delete the answer to this? So we're prompted to view the forums, look at the .txt and look things up, but the answers are deleted? This was my exact issue as well. http://forum.teamspeak.com/showthrea...tions?p=400501

    Hey it works.

Now i just created the ini file with the code you said.

But the thing with the "ftinitdownload" doesn't worked.

So I tested it with two different Teamspeak clients in different networks.

    Thanks a lot

Please review the txt files that are included with the server. One of them mentions how to define the query_port and query_ip (both must defined according to the documentation).

Is it possible to change my server's query port?

I would like the change my server's query port from 10011.

I've looked at the serverquickstart, which provided little help, and the query pdf did nothing for me as well. Does anyone know how to accomplish this?

This has to be done through a server query. You can find more on this in the ts3_serverquery_manual.pdf file.

    use 1
    login serveradmin password
    serverstop sid=1
    use 1
    serveredit virtualserver_port=9988
    serverstart sid=1

To change your virtual server port use this command :
    Code:
    login serveradmin <password>
    use <server ID>
    serveredit virtualserver_port=9988
    serverstop sid=<serverID>
    serverstart sid=<serverID>
By default the server ID of the first virtual server is 1

    @erikz
Your command can't works (do you try it before post this kind of stuff ? )
