Staff invisible on channel staff or chan invisible ?

    Hello,

I need to be invisible on a channel or make a channel invisible.

So, on our TS3 server, Admins (group admins) want to be invisible only on channel "Staff" or make channel "Staff" invisible (so if users don't see channel they don't see members on channel, no ?)

    It's possible ?

    Yes

    So, but how ?

    Thx for futur help.

So i have found a semi solution.

I create a channel which only members of the group "admin" user can see users on this (or you can see if you are on channel)
    But it's not optimal.

It's possible to make a channel invisible by all groups except Admins ?

    Thx.

Hidden within florians post was the answer to your question that does what you want to do. Subscribe power.

Play with i_channel_needed_subscribe_power in channel permissions. Then in your server groups, give your admins an i_channel_subscribe_power of that equal to i_channel_needed_subscribe_power in the channel permissions.

@ Baffis: You can make the clients in a channel invisible for all who are not in that channel (of course you can choose which server groups still can see all clients in that channel). This works with the subscribe power (just filter for it).

But you cannot remove the channel itself from the channel tree.

As said before set an higher value for the permission i_channel_needed_subscribe_power into the channel as i_channel_subscribe_power in all non admi nchannel groups. Now your users are hidden, as long no the user can't join the channel.

The permission i_channel_needed_description_view_power hides your channel description.

Where is the problem? They can only see the channel name, but not the clients in it.

Shame you can't set this to the 'new channel default' and not have to set it everytime there is a channel!
