I, too, am in a similar situation to jaynus in that the plugin that I wrote uses aspects of FMOD for internal sound design. While it would be possible to rebind to another API, I'm mainly concerned about the uncertainty factor and what features we'll lose. For instance, FMOD provides DSP effects. Will you be giving us access to the streamed sound data so that we can (at least) hook into our own FMOD instance? Or are you going to add your own?
