    Audio thru teamspeak?

I was in a friend's teamspeak last night and there was a guy that could play audio (music) thru his teamspeak and then talk over it if he wanted to.

He could also listen to what others were saying and comment without getting a feedback loop. How was he doing this? My first thought was stereomix, but that wouldn't work because he would get a feedback loop from everyone else talking in the channel. All you heard coming thru the mic was the music, and whenever he said something. There is no way it was played thru a boombox or something into the mic, it was way to clear, no distortion.

I asked him how he was doing it, he said he had software that could do it, but wouldn't comment on which software he was using. Can a software like Winamp do this? Or is it something more advanced?

Except that doesn't work. Because with those setups, everyone hears what comes thru your speakers. With his setup, you could play music and hear what others were saying without creating a feedback loop.

Does anyone know what I am trying to say?

He probably either had 2 sound cards or 2 computers.

Well 2 sound cards maybe, can anyone confirm this?

2 computers, nope, he was playing and talking on the same user. Somehow he was able to listen as well and talk while the music was playing without creating a feedback loop. Whenever he said something the music volume dimmed so you could clearly hear him. It was pretty awesome. Just wondering how he did it.

Two soundcards would make this work. Setup:

Soundcard A to listen to Teamspeak as output (e.g. headphones)

Soundcard B with stereomix for music software and the microphone as the input device. Voilá.
