    Treeview's background

    Hi everybody,

    I'm not very good with this C++ neither with english

    Is it possible to make the treeview's background completely transparent?
    I mean, i would like to see the background image of the QWidget#MainWindowServerTabsWidget behind the treeview.

    I'm pretty sure your answer should be in the following topic:
    http://forum.teamspeak.com/showthread.php?t=60838

    Basically 3/4 of the components I named overlap with the Treeview, so I recommend changing those to a transparent background.

    If I understand you, you want to set a background image behind the channel and user view, right ?

    That's right. And i want too to see that picture behind the treeview.

    Actually that's it:
    QTreeView
    {
    alternate-background-color:transparent;
    show-decoration-selected:1;
    border:1px solid #fff;
    font-weight: bold
    }
    TreeView
    {
    background-image: url("styles/DrinkTeam/fond_decran_gauche.png") 0;
    background-color: transparent;
    background-position: top right;
    background-repeat: no-repeat;
    background-attachment: fixed;
    }
    QWidget#MainWindowServerTabsWidget
    {
    background-image: url('stylesrinkTeam/epsylon_body.jpg');
    background-repeat: none;
    background-position: top center;
    background-attachment: fixed;
    }
    http://img202.imageshack.us/img202/8...nstitreejp.jpg

    Uploaded with ImageShack.us

    And it should be:

    QTreeView
    {
    alternate-background-color:transparent;
    show-decoration-selected:1;
    border:1px solid #fff;
    font-weight: bold
    }
    TreeView
    {
    background: transparent;
    background-position: top right;
    background-repeat: no-repeat;
    background-attachment: fixed;
    }
    QWidget#MainWindowServerTabsWidget
    {
    background-image: url('stylesrinkTeam/epsylon_body.jpg');
    background-repeat: none;
    background-position: top center;
    background-attachment: fixed;
    }
    But the background of the treeview stay black

    I'm not sure what you are talking about here... On the picture the QTreeview just has a transparent background, otherwise it wouldn't show the image behind it? Could you send me a copy of the skin on my e-mail (It's in a PM), and I'll look to it.

    Okay, thank you. Well, this confuses me anymore.
    I REALLY have no idea, what you are trying to do here....
    If you are talking about showing a picture behind the TreeView and the InfoFrame... You are already doing that with both the fond_decran images. I don't really understand what you want, and what isn't 'working' here. Could you please put something together in photoshop or so, of the thing you are trying to do. I'm guessing you both the pictures, to cover the ENTIRE Treeview and Infoframe, and not leave a black piece at the top...

    Anyway, I can tell you one thing: You REALLY! don't want to set background pictures in the Treeview and Infoframe, when you resize these, everything gets messed up. I would recommend the way I do it in my skins instead..
    As you can see on these two pictures, on other servers with a different size server banner... the outlining fucks up:

    http://i.imgur.com/yrxO4.jpg
    (I did the same thing in my Steam skin first, and it looked like this: http://i.imgur.com/UDW1o.jpg)
    If you want to fix this, I recommend using a background-image on the QWidget#MainWindowServerTabsWidget and leaving both the infoframe and the treeview transparent.

    Well,

    The problem is that it's difficult to correctly read some chanels when there is a lively colors behind the letters. So i would like to put a shadow rectangle behind those chanel, that's mean an other picture.

    But apparently that's not possible to use 2 pictures in the same background.
    I tryed so many issues.

    The both pictures went to the same picture that i cuted.

    Or else, you know how to get a shadow behind a letter

    QTreeView::item
    {
    background-color: rgba(100, 100, 100, 150);
    border: 2px solid transparent;
    border-radius: 1px;
    }

    This should put a semi-transparent background behind each item. This would improve the readability by a lot. For the InfoFrame I would recommend changing the HTML code (Again, look at my skin files, and then the Clientinfo.tpl and such). Adding a semi-transparent background behind the entire thing, would improve readability a lot. Also, I still recommend you using one background picture on the MainServerTabsWidget instead, of slicing it up and putting them in the TreeView and InfoFrame as background... See my previous post for the reason why.

    You can skin the way all the info shows in the InfoFrame. This is done with both CSS and HTML. If you download one of my skins, and just place those ClientInfo, UserInfo and ChannelInfo in your skin folder, it loads them. You could edit them with a program like Notepad++ or a similar program. I would basically, put all the info in a table, and put a background-color to that table.

    How do you mean?
    The coding of the actual skin (The .QSS file) is fairly straighforward. I think you already figured that out yourself. It's basically just... editing components with a system similar to CSS. Which means, you can't really change the layout with it, but you can skin everything. (Well, at least you can skin the components you know)....

    How to figure the rest of the components out and the further definitions (QWidget#Lalalal, QWidget#OMYGOD)... I seriously don't know how.. Teamspeak basically needs to put a full list of all the components online. I just got these things from the skin Teamspeak made themselfs, and the system with the .TPL files from the X-Army skin.

    The .TPL files are also quite.. easy. The %%Something%% are the variables which you show the info with... You can skin the rest using HTML and CSS.

    I learn CSS with creating the skin. That's not really easy to do ^^
