It is the developer who gave me this explanation and why it is so disabled, you can still get the permission ?

I don't know what the developer explained, but I think they mean since you disabled EVERY level of the permission, the value becomes 0. Although for group_member_add_power, it may not apply. But I can't get the permission anymore.

    Test disabled this:

    i_group_needed_member_add_power

    Activate this:

    b_virtualserver_servergroup_list
    b_virtualserver_channelgroup_list

And tape: CTRL + F1 you arrived in permission dialog, and add you alone on the group where you are modified permissions with my exemple.

Yes. Just because you don't have list power doesn't mean you don't have write power. I think this is the same as linux. You can append even though you can't read, you can execute even though you can't read/write. I think this is as they have designed it.

With my exemple, it's possible to add yourself in a group whereas permission is disabled.
This means that permission is not totally disabled, otherwise the person would not have the right to modify the group.

I do not can still see the design of permissions just as they told me as the developer, once we disabled this permission, it takes the value "0" even if it is not displayed.

Briefly, this is what in made that this permission was disabled on my server, I felt so totally inactive but do not is not the case for it, is necessarily to put a value to having no worries . And especially do not give the right to see the permissions dialog (CRTL + F1).

??? If all levels of permissions are disabled, then it's 0.

Needed power is different from power. Needed power acts as a check against power. If you have power, it means you can do somethings, so long as you have power over the person you're acting on. If needed power is 0 and power is 0, everyone can do everyone on that permission. (You can think of it as an anarchy). In order for you to create an hierarchy, you must give higher order needed power bigger than the power of lower hierarchy.
