How to fully uninstall ts3 linux server?

Hi, I don't remember which files were created during installation. If I want a complete removal of the server, including the startup scripts and not only the files which I put in /opt/teamspeak-server. How do I do? I'm not an advanced linux user so a thorough explanation would be greatly appreciated. I'm running ubuntu 10.10 Desktop x86.

But what about the extra files, e.g. the one created in /etc/init.d? Are there more files than that one that has been created?

There is no file in the /etc/init.d
Except if you use a special script or if you created it.

In this case, we can't help you because we don't know what you did.

Sorry, my mistake. When I read your post I started googling to find the tutorial I followed when installing ts3 and found I created /etc/init.d/teamspeak from ts3server_startscript.sh.

The tutorial can be found here

    Thanks for the help!

    It's better with this information

So, first remove the auto start status.
You used this command to add it : update-rc.d teamspeak defaults
Now use this to remove it :
    Code:
    update-rc.d -f teamspeak remove
After that, go to /etc/init.d and remove the "teamspeak" script

How to completely remove teamspeak serverfrom linux?

Hi, let me start off by saying that i am very new to linux. I know how to log in. Thats it. No, really...

I added a teamspeak server following a guide and got everything working. For different reasons I would like to completely uninstall the server with the intention of reinstalling it afterwards. I read somewhere on teamspeak forums that it is as 'simple' as removing the teamspeak server folder.

As you may have guessed by now, i have no idea how to do this.

Here is a few things that might help you help me.

    1. I created a user to run ts, It is not running on the root user. I have access to both of the users.

    2. I'm running on ubuntu.

    3. I use putty to connect to the server.

A micromanaged, hold my hand approach to this will be very much appreciated. THANK YOU!

    1. You need to stop the server first.
Explained here im Step 1 http://forum.teamspeak.com/threads/1...092#post392092

Following is just an example and part of TeamSpeak:
2.Delete the server folder from your system with command rm -r /path/to/directory
    3. Delete the created user with command deluser username while you are logged in as root.

Putty is coming back with -bash: ./ts3server_startscript.sh: No such file or directory
