    Solved [Request]Proxy support

I searched the forums with numerous versions of the words connect, connection and proxy, and found no real clear cut answer

So, at work we have a proxy server set up

    proxy.de.moog.com port 3128

I have full admin rights to the entire system, and a login to match etc etc.

is there a way i can connect to any TS server with this setup?
i have a feeling that i cant, as i cant find any blatantly obvious proxy settings in the TS client, but i thought id post here to check, just in case

    cheers, Cliaz

Depends on the type of proxy. Since Teamspeak uses UDP the only feasible way I can think of right off the bat would be a Socks5 proxy. The Teamspeak client doesn't support Socks by itself so you'd need a Socksifier like SocksCap or FreeCap.

how do i configure this? I am trying to show a different IP address to TeamSpeak so that i may get around bans that my clan has put against me.

    Hey

If you are trying to use it to get around bans that were placed on you maybe you should ask someone else. I mean if you were banned there's prob a good reason, so try using the search botton or google it.

sry, bot we do not supportd this here. Brain has given you already a hint. Feel free to try to understand it or leave it.
I can't judge if the ban was / is right or not, but I don't want to see a complaint here, that we support someone beeing baned from a server to rejoin that server.

    [Request]Proxy support

Hi, do you already plan to add proxy support (SOCKS 4/5 and/or http tunneling aka HTTP CONNECT)? Yes, this configuration still exists

This brings trolls and immature losers into the servers, I strongly don't recommend this.

If they won't add chat logging you really think they are gonna add a proxy system? HA! Nope.

And what does chat logging has to do with proxy?

It would be nice, if TeamSpeak 3 supports socks 5 natively, so we don't need third party software.

It would be an option, although that might let people to get around ban triggers more easily...

Rather than using proxy, I suggest using VPN. TS3 works with VPN seamlessly... VPN has lots of security in it as well.
