Ranks in TS not correctly showing

Looking at the following image you can see that the lower the rank, the higher people should show up in the teamspeak channels:

But when i look in the channel, you can clearly see that the user "Prof. Itcouldbeaboat" is not correctly assigned...

Lower the value in permission i_client_talk_power for group PS2_Co_leader to change his sorting in server tree.

Ordering people in server tree with talk power not working

I've been researching for ages to try and find out how to order users in the server tree and always find that "i_client_talk_power" is how you order users but even though I've changed it several times (just the regular "talk", not "needed") yet it doesn't work at all. I still have someone at talk power 91 above someone with 95...

    Please help!

Open the users permission overview (right click on that user -> permissions) and then make sure he really has a talk power of 91.

yeah they do. it is an alphabetical thing because when they change their name to loads of a's they go up - but if the talk power thing worked then surely alphabet wouldn't matter.

Alphabet is applied to those with the same talk power, but people with higher talk power will still be above those with lower talk power.

No, I know that's how it's supposed to work but it's not...

It can't be an alphabetical thing when their value for i_client_talk_power differs in the same channel. That's technically not possible or you are not using TeamSpeak.

Please show us your result from their permissions overview when both users are in the same channel. Like i did on my picture.

J.Crawley has a talk power of 50 (as you can see at the very bottom of the dialog) from the Guest Channel group.

You were only looking at the combined server group permissions, neglecting all the other permission levels that override server groups.

Se the Skip flag in Server group's Talk power to avoid that a channel group overwrites the value to 50.

The talk power for the Query group is lower than other group's permission.

This is not supported and there is no reason to do this. It can break your server.

How to order users by name in a channel

    Dear All,

I'm quite sure that this post is somewhere here but I didn't find where !
(Sorry in advance if this one exists)

I would like to order user by name on every channel each they're joining in.
Is there a way to do it ?

    Thanks in advance
