Hello,
How can I control bandwitch consumption at my server. Whenever someone would put 24/7 radio on his channel, let it play and play, it would hurt my download a lot.
Any way to prevent that?
Cheers!

Change the codec quality setting.
Hey!
I thought of it but it isn't the sollution. Why should I change quality of codes to people who are not abusing it?
That's your only option to control bandwidth of clients unless they use file transfer and then you can use the permission system to control that part. If someone is abusing it I'd remove them from the server completely![]()
BAN the person, with a reason I guess. and that person will either listen, or don't give a damm, and start doing mess using a bunch of IPs
for start I would give him 20hours, so he will notice it.
16khz wideband with a quality of 4 and the MS delay @40ms= roughly 2.66 kbps per channel per client still sounds good and reduces the bandwidth by a ton of you do that to ALL your channels. Of course if you have many people in one channel that setting may not be good so just tweek for higher traffic channels. Thats what i do and it seems to be a good thing.
