Unhappy Client: TS3 RC1 Keeps Freezing? Stale Decoder

Okay, so I've been running my own Teamspeak 3 server from my computer since January of this year. Teamspeak has always worked fine for me, until I got the RC 1 update today. I am running Windows 7 32 bit, and suddenly my teamspeak will freeze, my dot won't light up and someone's dot will stay lit but I don't hear anything. I look in my process manager and it's taking up 80 - 100% of my CPU usage. The only way I can stop it is to end the process and reopen it, where I will then see a clone of myself in the teamspeak until it times out. This has happened to me 4 times now, at first I thought I was running too many programs but now I was barely running anything and it happened. I really like a lot of the changes, but I don't like this. What should I do about it?

Give us some more information so we can fix it

    (1) What CPU is this?
    (2) Can you paste the Client Log File of a Session where the problem occurred?

    CPU - AMD Athlon 64 Processor 3500+ 2.20 GHz

Where would I find the Client Log Files?

    I looked in C:\....\AppData\Local\TeamSpeak 3 Client\config\logs
and I found some logs, but the most recent one is from April 8th for some reason. Is there a way I can find out where my client logs are being saved to now?

By default the logs should be in e.g. C:\Users\peter\AppData\Roaming\TS3Client

In the unlikely case you happened to have run the installer and selected saving the config in the installation folder instead the users directory, the logs will be in <TS-install-path>\config

The path you mentioned sounds like you did a local install (into Appdata\Local instead of C:\Program Files). You might have reinstalled later using the default install and config paths, which might explain why the log directory had changed for you.

Okay, so one log says the following like 50 times:

    2011-05-12 02:31:50.817382|ERROR |Decode | | Stale Decoder detected, terminating it. Was ever active = 0

Another log says that 50 times, and then is followed by the following several times:

2011-05-12 02:32:17.576171|ERROR |GenericPlayback| | Stale gracefull playback detected, terminating forcefully

The other logs the last thing is just:

Same behavior here with the Línux client. Randomly crashes with cpu usage going to 100%, activity dot of someone else is lit. Program is not responding. Mostly (not only) happens when wine (with eve) is running.
I'm running debian amd64 with pulseaudio and wine-pulseadio. Former client (with fmod?) worked like a charm.
    wine-pulseaudio 1.3.19
    pulseaudio 0.9.22

Changing pulseaudio backend to esd and deactivating sound in eve under wine didn't help.
Teamspeak crashes really randomly, sometimes runs for 30 minutes, then again 5 seconds after I connected to a server.
Logs sadly don't give a clue:

It just did it again, my teamspeak froze up and caused my entire computer to freeze, thus lagging my teamspeak server and making everyone disconnect because I host the server from my computer, and I have to hear people complain because they were in the middle of talking while playing a game when the server lagged out.

A few other people in my server have been having the same problem. Stale decoder and it randomly tries to crash the entire computer. It's been happening to me several times a day, and it does occur randomly. Sometimes I'm just in the away channel with my mic muted with nobody else in the teamspeak and it happens. :-/

The MAIN reason this concerns me is that when it starts freezing my computer from which I host my teamspeak server (since Nov. 2010), it causes everyone else to lag and timeout from the server because my teamspeak froze my computer. I had to hit the power button on my computer and force shut down the computer 2 times the first day it started happening because I was running a game and watching a TV show at the same time.

    Look here: http://forum.teamspeak.com/showthrea...-Stale-Decoder

Sounds like it might be the same thing... If it is, they don't know what's causing it OR how to fix it... Sucks for us people with that problem.
