Did you enable the "advanced permission system" checkbox in your settings?
You can find that under Tools -> Options -> Application
On OSX you find the Application tab under Teamspeak 3 -> Preferences

ok, i find it , thx
Just to be a bit more specific for those that are trying to enable this and haven't found it...
SETTINGS->OPTIONS->APPLICATION the check box is under the MISC section.
The last time I did some permission changes all went well. But now, the whole display of the permission system has changed, and any documentation written before April doesn't fit what I see!
What am I doing wrong?
Settings > Options > Application > Misc > ... checkbox "Advanced permissions system"
Thanks! That's what I was looking for.
Thanks! I suggest to change place of this option to the permissions dialog.
EDIT: Ok, now I can swap between "easy" and normal permissions dialog. Then I suggest to remove the check box under OPTIONS -> APPLICATION -> MISC. That is not necessary.
perhaps making the "option" checked true as default, this way users can "turn it off" if they so choose.
I do not like this new change
This would make no sense, because the new permission system should help people who use Teamspeak 3 the first time. Of course for all beta users this might be annoying to switch this setting on, but for new users this may help. And it is not so hard to change this option once.
hello
Is it possible to change the permission system? I want the old version.

Hi all,
I've just logged into the Server Groups widget on my TS3 server for the first time in many months & see the interface has totally changed, it looks totally alien to me. What's worrying me is that a few of the server groups I set up are showing as 'set as Unknown', does that mean the permissions I set up for that group are gone?
There's no way I can reset the permissions from memory if they have gone.
Someone please shed some light on this

Thanks Florian, that seems to have got things back to 'normal'

Is there a way to go back to the old permission system? The new way of setting server permissions does not give me enough options as far as creating new server groups and setting thier permission levels.
My problem is that the "resistence" to evry kind of "power" now seams to be all relative to a single class among: guess normal or admin
Is there any way to come back to the "advanced" old Server Group system?
i'm sorry if i'm posting this on the wrong section, or if anyone else alredy post something similar but so far i didn't find any post to help me.

Unfortunately I am not writing in English so well.
I wanted to create an icon as it once was and always had to set the ellen you no longer can or it is hidden and the user component, we can no longer bearbeiten.Wieso is not? Where I must go now if I am the one user wants to enter usericon? (no avatar) unfortunately I can not even take the old version where everything was clear and where one could do everything.
Thanks for the nice answer just because it's in German it is closed immediately. Teamspeak consists of the German ab.Hab now google translate for use in English. Hope you now have your sake. Was also the first and last time I ask something here. Where else you are treated better.
