Lightbulb openal, hardware offload sound systems to reduce cpu usage

I noticed that teamspeak 3 client 64 bit causes for much higher cpu loads on all of my systems(Intel core I7 2600K at 4.4ghz, Intel core 2 quad q6600 at 3.4 ghz, and a Intel pentium E6300 at 3.4 ghz) the load would go between 6 to 15% and on slow systems cause for some lag and stutters in bad company 2, which I didn't have when teamspeak 3 client wasn't running.

I was thinking, would it be possible to implement openal so that sound cards(like the creative x-fi titanium) could process some of the data and thus offloading the cpu.
