    Server logs being spammed with "TSANetwork::Send failed error: 1"

    My server logs are being spammed with the following error:
    Code:
    TS3ANetwork::Send failed error: 1
    I have checked already the thread http://forum.teamspeak.com/showthrea...ailed-error-22

    Port 2010 is opened in UDP mode for the weblist
    Port 2008 is opened in TCP mode for the license check

    I can also ping accounting.teamspeak.com without problems:
    Code:
    64 bytes from accounting.teamspeak.com (62.146.63.84): icmp_seq=3 ttl=58 time=3.07 ms
    All features of the TS3 server are working without problems and the server is also appearing correctly in the weblist as "Crogges Teamspeak Server" (Germany).

    Hello

    It's all the time or all these messages appear at some time ?
    Do you get another error message in the server log ?

    Also, and to avoid any dns problem, you could add the accounting resolution in your hosts file
    Code:
    62.146.63.84       accounting.teamspeak.com

    Well the error is being displayed most of the time, the server is correctly displayed in the weblist also while the error is appearing. I get no other messages in the logs and the server itself is working just fine.

    I added accounting.teamspeak.com to the hosts file but I couldn't find any DNS errors in the server logs, so I guess that the problem is caused by something else.

    The address is added on the hosts file, so keep a look on this.

    Same problem

    I don't know why this post is marked "solved" because it's not wright. I have the same problem with my Teamspeak Server :

    - In the Teamspeak server log, i have this error message :
    Code:
    2012-01-16 13:45:00.076712|ERROR   |              |   | TS3ANetwork::Send failed error: 1

    2012-01-16 13:45:04.076007|ERROR   |              |   | TS3ANetwork::Send failed error: 1
    - In my iptables firewall, i had created this rules entry :
    Code:
    Chain INPUT (policy DROP)
    target     prot opt source               destination
    ACCEPT tcp -- anywhere anywhere tcp dpt:2008
    ACCEPT tcp -- anywhere anywhere tcp dpt:search
    ACCEPT udp -- anywhere anywhere udp dpt:2008
    ACCEPT udp -- anywhere anywhere udp dpt:2010

    Chain OUTPUT (policy DROP)
    target     prot opt source               destination
    ACCEPT     tcp  --  anywhere             accounting.teamspeak.com tcp dpt:2008
    ACCEPT     udp  --  anywhere             accounting.teamspeak.com udp dpt:2008
    ACCEPT     tcp  --  anywhere             accounting.teamspeak.com tcp dpt:search
    ACCEPT     udp  --  anywhere             accounting.teamspeak.com udp dpt:2010
    I had reboot my server but the problem is not solved. Could you help me ?

    PS : excuse me for my english but i am french and not very good with english spoken.

    Hello

    Don't forget to allow the DNS traffic
    (or write the accounting resolution in the hosts file)

    Ok make point:

    To be sure it's not a Iptable problem:
    If you switch to ACCEPT your input and ouput rule (from iptables) do you get the same result (I don't think so) ?

    Also, the 2008 port is TCP and 2010 is UDP

    This rule is wrong. The server for this is weblist.teamspeak.com
    You could set theses output rule for "everywhere".

    Alembra, some info:
    1. Florian is right, your input line for udp port 2010 should be weblist.teamspeak.com
    2. on linux, error 1 means "operation not permitted" which seems to indicate the OS (linux) is actively stopping the network traffic.

    If you still have problems, I have some questions for you:
    1. Do you have a licensekey or not?
    2. What exactly is your problem besides the error in the log. Does your server shutdown after those errors or does it keep running?

    i have made some tests :

    - for the ping, the test is OK (62.146.63.84).
    - enable all trafic on iptables : no error in the log.

    Could you explain exactly what ports number and protocoles i must open for not have the error 1 ?

    From my last test on linux with the 2010 blocked on iptable :
    - 6 error lines in the log (at each server request) - normal
    - The server still running
    - About the machine %CPU 1.3 - %MEM 3.1 - during the requests

    @Alembra
    The iptables rules from the test machine :
    Code:
    Chain INPUT (policy DROP)
    target     prot opt source               destination
    ACCEPT all -- anywhere anywhere state ESTABLISHED <= don't care about it
    ACCEPT udp -- anywhere anywhere udp dpt:domain <= DNS
    ACCEPT tcp -- anywhere anywhere tcp dpt:2008 <= license
    ACCEPT udp -- anywhere anywhere udp dpt:6000 <= the virtual server

    Chain FORWARD (policy ACCEPT)
    target     prot opt source               destination

    Chain OUTPUT (policy DROP)
    target     prot opt source               destination
    ACCEPT all -- anywhere anywhere state ESTABLISHED <= don't care about it
    ACCEPT udp -- anywhere anywhere udp dpt:domain <= DNS
    ACCEPT tcp -- anywhere anywhere tcp dpt:2008 <= license
    ACCEPT udp -- anywhere anywhere udp dpt:2010 <= weblist

    1 - Yes i have a license key
    2 - After 6 days, the server crash (the service is still running but it's not possible to connect on it). For solve this, i must restart the server.

    --- Merged ---

    Ok i just test this on iptables and it's ok !

    For resume, the solution is (iptables configuration) :
    - OUTPUT rules => open port 2008 tcp, destination : accounting.teamspeak.com and open port 2010 udp destination : weblist.teamspeak.com
    - INPUT rules => open port 2008 tcp and open port 2010 udp.

    If i understand good, this solution works ONLY if it is on a server WITH a license key.

    Thanks you Florian and nwerensteijn for your help ;-)
