    Channel descriptions not showing.

I don't know if this is a bug or not. I have searched the forum and cannot find anything about it. I am running TS3 server RC1 and TS3 client RC2 with Windows 7. When I click on some channels, I cannot see the description until I click on another channel. When I click the previous channel the description shows. Sometimes I have to do this several times before the description shows.

I have also noticed this happens in other servers besides my own, so maybe it has something to do with the client.

When I reinstall the beta 36 client, I do not have this problem.

Some people that log on don't have this problem, some do.

Any help or information is greatly appreciated!

    I might have a guess.

When I reinstall the beta 36 client, I do not have this problem.
That is a good hint and I think your next step to get the RC2 by just following the automatic update process or do you start the RC2-installer?

My guess is to start the update.exe per hand again and then also hit "start update" to get all files in place and old files removed.

Anyway, I would like to hear your way getting RC2. Maybe its reproducible for us too.

    Trying...

I believe I got the update both ways. The first time was by using the update, then I tried getting the installer.

Just now I uninstalled TS3 then installed Beta 36, then did the update and I'm still having this problem.

Should I try to uninstall everything, including the stored/backup files? Then install Beta 36 and do the update?

I have asked a few people and this happens to them too, but not many. Others say they don't have this problem.

I've tried everything, even deleting the cache.

Maybe it is a problem with a plugin? Please deactivate them all.

If not, give it a try and uninstall completely - but don't forget to backup your stuff like identities, bookmarks etc. I would zip everything in /config while playing around with installer/uninstaller and also remove the whole folder if it still exists after uninstalling.

Maybe you should then directly try our latest pre- RC3 32 bit or 64 bit.

    Tried everything...

I have tried everything imaginable to fix this and still no luck. I don't know what else I could try.

Could it be that I'm running the server wireless?

What's weird is that I don't have this problem with the Beta-36 client.

I have started to notice that sometimes when I create new channels and put the description in the first time, it doesn't keep the description. I have to edit the channel and put the description back.

I tried the RC3 and no luck either.

    Thanks,

Should be easy to find out - just plug in a cable and try again.

I just tested it a couple of times but can't reproduce it. How much information do you want to put into the description? But first get away from wireless at least for the test.
