login serveradmin password do not work on certain password ???

I have a feeling if a generated password has the character "/" then then the user cannot log in with that password without using a more complicated syntax.

    Here it is:
login serveradmin [.../...] #Password hidden for obvious reasons.
    error id=520 msg=invalid\sloginname\sor\spassword

    Now if I use:
    login client_login_name=serveradmin client_login_password=[.../...]
    It will be a success.

On another machine, I have a server with serveradmin password without "/", running on the same OS config.
And not surprisingly, login serveradmin password works! (as it should)

I cannot say for sure it's the character "/" that's making it to act like that. But all other characters are in standard English alphabets.

I can't reproduce this with my server.

Please tell me your server version and the build number.
What operation system, do you use for the server?
    Is this sql or mysql?
When sending me private messages: Please make sure to include reference link to your forum thread or post.

It's SQL. CentOS 5.6, connected through ssh2 protocol (to bash shell), then telnet localhost through ssh2

Server Version RC-1 (released), but it was upgraded from beta 22. (incremental)
Do you want me to private message you the password just to be sure? (i'll change the password after that of course...)

Yes I did notice that in the past aswell back when my generated Pw included a Slash.

In order to login you have to escape the Slash by using a Backslash. Would look like this: login serveradmin ....\/....
I cant tell if this still happens as I didnt setup a new server with the latest versions.

Here's a quote from our ServerQuery documantation:

You cannot use whitespaces or any special characters in parameters. Instead, the TeamSpeak 3 Server supports the use of escape patterns which can be used to insert newlines, tabs or other special characters into a parameter string. The same escape patterns are used to clean up the servers output and prevent parsing issues.
The slash is one of the characters you'll need to escape.

Thx. Could you give us a list of special characters somewhere? Usually forward slash is not a "special character" as far as console programs are concerned.

All the special characters are on page 5 of the ServerQuery manual.
The manual is included with the server files.
