Questions about setting a server on Ubuntu 11.04

    Hello guys,

I am currently hosting my own website on my Ubuntu server and I would also like to host a TS3 server using my domain name to connect on the server. Thing is I have absolutely no idea how to do this and would appreciate it if you could redirect me to a guide if there is any.

Also, I have a download/upload limit so I would like to know how much bandwidth the server would take (if you could tell me an approximation of X people talking to each other for Y hours is Z gigs, I'd appreciate it).

    Thank you!

    Hello

    You have 2 solutions :

1- Using a subdomain of your web site domain
Add a A rule on the DNS settings (like ts.mydomain.com).
And to connect on your server, you can use this as a address : ts.mydomain.com:9000

    2- Using the TSDNS server
In the server folder you'll find a "tsdns" folder (tsdns documentation in this folder)
Write a rule in the tsdns settings (like ts.mydomain.com=<the IP address>:9000)
Now to connect you can use as address : ts.mydomain.com

I used the port 9000 just for this example.
