    TeamSpeak 3 Client 3.0.2 available

    Hello world,

today we released the 3.0.2 TS3 Client in beta channel, it contains multiple bug fixes and improvements. Any feedback just post below so we can get any issues ironed out before this goes into stable channel.

    *** UPDATE ***
Version 3.0.2 is now available using the default (stable) update channel and on our downloads page:

    http://www.teamspeak.com/?page=downloads

    Changes:
    Code:
    === Client Release 3.0.2 26 Oct 2011
! Updated plugins API to 14
+ Added individual handling of soundpacks per servertab.
+ Added that dropping a file from File Browser into an offline message will
create a ts3file:// link. A few minor bbCodes are now usable too.
+ Added "close all but this" for chat tabs.
    + Added two notifications CLIENT_RENAMED_BY_YOU and CLIENT_RENAMED_BY_OTHER
which were also included in our default soundpacks.
    * Exported new function getClientLibVersionNumber to plugins API
    * Changed paramaters of onServerLogEvent and onServerLogFinishedEvent in
plugins API and Lua plugin scripts.
    * Updated server log dialog to support new improved server logging.
    * More detailed client logging for connection attempts.
    * Crashdump dialogs lets you open the folder to the dump file instead of just
      copying the filename.
    * Banner requests now consider the HTTP header "Cache-Control: no-cache".
    * Updater autostarts client after successful update
    * Improved connection quality information in statusbar.
    * Added news ticker to client and updater.
    - Fixed client issue when connected with multiple tabs and overwriting a file
      in filebrowser of inactive tab.
    - Fixed some default_speech sound file issues. Some special sound files pointed
      to old targets.
    - Fixed not respecting the i_group_sort_id for server/channel groups in virtual
      server edit dialog.
    - Fixed some line breaks for copy & paste from chatlog.
    - Fixed client can write in another opened chatab.
    - Fixed showing false drop indicator frame after moving a channel spacer.
    - Fixed showing "invalid client id" in "out of view" detection.
    - Fixed renaming the channel tab if another channel gets a new name.
    - Fixed false report "offline message sent" when permissions are insufficient.
    - Fixed showing found receipients in autocompleter in "new offlinemessage"
dialog. The search is triggered if receipient is not in the contact list.
    - Fixed hiding clients system tray context menu when clicking outside.
    - Fixed copying channel edit dialog description to clipboard. New Lines are no
      longer stripped off.
    - Fixed whisper lamp shining blue instead red if whisper hotkey was pressed
again before release delay was reached.
    - Added missing whisper settings to contact defaults dialog.
    - Bookmark folders no longer collapse when dragging & dropping.
    - Added small delay when searching in the All-clients list window to prevent
spamming the server with search requests.
    - Fixed bug in tree drag&drop which made is possible to drag a wrong client
      into a channel.
    How to get it
    (1) Wait until it is released to the stable channel (presumably ~1 week), and use the normal update dialogue.

    (2) Tell your TeamSpeak Client to check for updates from the beta channel:
    - Go to where you installed teamspeak. There should be (among other things) a executable called "update"
    - In this folder create or edit the file called "update.ini", after you are done with it the contents should be:
    Code:
    [Channel]
    beta=true
    - Save the file, start TeamSpeak and go to Help->Check for Update, it should report a new version available.

Very nice. I know this has been asked for several times by users on the public server so they can still hear all events on their own server tab while being on public without having to hear all the soundpack spam there. Great Improvement!!

The name is a bit missleading. You cannot rename other clients than yourself. And other clients can only be renamed by themselves

    Good day, ladies and gentlemen.
I administer multiple TeamSpeak servers, and this news ticker has approached me yet and I would be very happy to know two things about this:
First How do I turn it on again? For in the configurations I find no option for it.
Second Is it possible that even remodel the way you want?

In the client data folder (for me this is %appdata%\TS3Client) there is a news.ini file. If you edit that file and reload the news marquee it will should the text you entered. I would really have liked this to be a per server setting, but it does not look like it is at this time. If it were per server and queried the news from the server instance the hoster could put messages about scheduled maintenance and such in there.

We want to use it for our needs only, but i don't understand, why it is saved in that ini file, maybe the client catches an update.
    Have to ask a developer.

    Edit
We catch the news (if newer on our server), as soon your start the client.
