    Hello

The b_permission_modify_power_ignore, is for ignore the comparaison with the grant value.
But you still need a i_group_modify_power equal or greater than the i_group_needed_modify_power

Both are at 100 with grant power of 100. my question still stands if I am modifying a client and changing the client modify permission why does it check the groups modify permission if they are not in said group? seems kind of backwords.

    i_group_modify_power
    i_group_needed_modify_power

there is no target group. I am trying to modify a client directly though client permissions
The clients group has the following permissions

    i_permission_modify_power not granted
    i_client_permission_modify_power not granted
    i_client_needed_permission_modify_power not granted
    i_group_modify_power not granted
    i_group_needed_modify_power 30

    i_permission_modify_power 100 grant: 99999999999
    i_client_permission_modify_power not granted
    i_client_needed_permission_modify_power not granted
    i_group_modify_power 100
    i_group_needed_modify_power not granted

My group has 100 for all except client permission and needed which are not granted

error is <12:34:11>insufficient permission modify power when trying to set to value of 100 or
<12:34:42>insufficient permission group modify power when trying to set to a value of 14-100

anything less than 14 it allows me to set

    i_permission_modify_power 100 grant: 99999999999

The Grant Value for a permisions has to be equal or lower as the i_permission_modify_power to edit a permission!!!!!!!

anything less than 14 it allows me to set
<< What permission do you mean?

Both i_client_modify_power and i_client_needed_modify power. I can set a value from 0-14 but not higher that 14. Also the grant power was an attempt to allow me to modify it however the grant power can be not set and no change.

This is weired and are you sure, that there is no grant value of 14 somewhere in your permissions?
Maybe from client permissions or in your server groups or channe lclient permissions???

    Please tell me,
What Server Group do you own,
What Client or Group do you try to edit,
and at least you server version.

The whole server permissions are crazy!!! Please do not play with our default groups :-/
Your Server Admin owns Query Permissions and the Server Query Admin does not have enough power to do anything ......
The server owner also removed the server admin login from the query group.
And why do you use the Query Admin as a client group? (We do not recommend that!!!)

I can see you own the DB ID 177 and a lot of client permissions.

I can't reproduce, the value 1-14 thingy, but i found that no i_client_permission_modify_power is given in any of your groups.
When i add it manually to the database (to my client) then it is possible for me, to change your client permissions.

We had a system admin break into our system a few months back and mess around with the database, I thought I had fixed everything. One of the problems was he deleted all users including superadmin from admin server query so we had to add a new one. What do you recommend that I do?
