    Question No one can connect to my server, including me (This thread apply's to most people)

    I downloaded teamspeak server and client over 6 months ago, after 1 month of successfully using it, it decided to stop working after a pc restart but at that time i didnt need so i stopped using it until now, I have tried everything i know to get it working!!

    I have done what every one says which are:

    Portforward these ports

    9987 (UPD)
    10011 (TCP) all to my static ip: 192.168.1.10
    30033 (TCP)

    I have aloud both programme's through the AVG firewall and have even turned the firewall off.

    I have checked that i have the Server running of which it is but i cant connect and even when i give people my ip they cant connect.

    i use Windows Vista 32 bit
    Router: Huawie Echolife HG532

    Also followed the steps at: http://portforward.com/english/route...k_3_Server.htm

    that way doesnt work, what else is there to do?

    Tried:
    1)portforward 2 different ways
    2)Accept it through firewall, or turn it off
    3)running both programmes in administrator mode

    Please help

    If you want to post your external IP here it might help to diagnose the problem

    78.150.198.214 is the one people should connect to

    No connection, if you're sure -

    Port forwarding is correct
    Server is running
    Firewall's are allowing the correct ports through

    it should work, I'd double check all the above

    because im using the full AVG 2011 internet security, i dont know how to check if ports are allowed through it.

    Are the server & client on the same PC, if so, what IP are you using to connect?

    I used 192.168.1.10 to connect
    and yes both on same pc

    do you have skype, you can delete me after but just so i can show you my screen and show you everything?

    Try localhost or 127.0.0.1

    I don't use Skype

    Nothing, only skype or teamviewer, port thing seems pretty screwed up though,
    I made a static ip: 192.168.1.10
    go to cmd, type in ipconfig /all

    Ethernet adapter Local Area Connection:
    IPv4 Adress... 192.168.1.10(Preferred)

    Ethernet adapter VirtualBox Host-Only Network:
    IPv4 Adress... 192.168.56.1(Preferred)

    Which one??

    What's that VirtualBox adapter for?

    If you can't reach the server on localhost / 127.0.0.1 it can't be running, check the logs (in the logs directory under the install directory) & see if they give any clues

    Those logs are from 1st December, do you not have anything later, or has the server (apparently) been running since then?

    Also, the IP you posted isn't the same as the WAN (external) IP in those logs, are you on a dynamic IP with your ISP?

    Also, I don't see anything in the log to say it's listening on the voice port (9987 by default), should look something like this -

    I think I see the problem, you've forwarded port 9987 UDP (the default port) but your server's listening on port 9988
