    Solved Port open, but doesn't work

    Hey guys im having trouble setting up a Teamspeak 3 Server i have this hub

    BT Home Hub V3

    and when i go to add ports on my router options it has this...

    Hub Options

    And when i go on teamspeak and connect to my IP: **.***.***.**:9987

    it just says:

    <18:58:24>Trying to connect to server on **.***.***.**
    <18:58:30>Failed to connect to server

    Please Help If somebody could do teamviewer and set it up for me i would be so gratefull thanks <33

    Set:
    9987 UDP (only)
    10011 TCP
    30033 TCP

    Thanks for the reply i just updated my ports and when i connect to 81.156.183.90:9987 it just says "Error" in a voice

    You just created a service. You need to actually apply it to an IP/Host. Probably under configuration or firewall.

    Hi ImACookie,

    do you have a Firewall on your Server. If yes pls check that TS3 traffic is allowed

    Sorry i don't know how to find that out :L do you mean windows firewall? If so it is allowed on windows firewall

    Hello

    Don't forget on almost every router, you can't use your External IP from your Internal network.
    Are you able to connect with the 127.0.0.1 IP or with the local IP ?

    Yes Dabulator talk about your Windows firewall. But for test turn off it (also your anti-virus if you have).

    yes i can connect using 127.0.0.1 and ok what ip do i give my friends to join? my ip in this format

    **.***.***.**:9987 or **.***.***.**

    yes i cut the ip out :L

    oh and by the way my hub doesn't have the "Trigger Protocal" Option it was removed in the BT Home Hub V3

    With the default port (9987) you just can give your External IP.
    (Don't forget, if you have dynamic IP you have to check it several times)
