Avatars from an external URL can not be used anymore. Think it was removed in client 3.0.17.

As the title goes i would prefer to use a http link as my avatar, the reason for that would be that I subscribe to a website that displays my stats in my avatar /signature pictures.

here's the avatar i made for Teamspeak 3,

    http://g.bf3stats.com/ps3/0JGXeTlF/aronshade.png

sadly atm i cannot use it as a avatar, hopefully in the near future I and everyone else will be able to.

This works already, but we won't build in, that this avatar gets reloaded automatically.

Question Use HTTP LINK for Avatar

I also would prefer to use a http-link as my avatar for the same reason aronshade mentiones.

Although dante696 replies that this is already working (but does not refresh), I even can't get a link accepted for my own avatar (menu Self - Set Avatar). Then a window pops up (choose file name). When I put the link here and press OK nothing happens. My original avatar remains selected in the client.

As to the refresh. For the server there is the option to use a link for the server-banner and also the gfx-refresh rate can be set. Why not incorporate this feature for client-avatars with a standard refresh of 1 day ?

Looking forward to get this solved.

    Kind regards,
    BattleHook
