I'm sorry for asking this but is there any chance you could go a little bit more in depth, if possible maybe with a screenshot (Or my screenshot edited explaining what exactly has to be edited.) I am just quite lost here at the moment. It was this post I was talking about by the way, where I've been trying all solutions provided in this topic, I guess I am doing something wrong but I can't seem to figure out what. I've been trying to work with both grant, normal permissions. I am just really lost here. Sorry for asking so much of you but it'd really help us out.

After editing it I am sadly still getting the Insufficient permission modify power. I've followed what you've stated above, given the proper grant permissions, as described in the picture provided to you, yet still no luck sadly.

Please show us a permission overview and tell us which group you want to allow to edit channel permisions. I'm giving up to answer to these screenshots showing nothing about the permission situaution.
Do not show a screenshot of the permission dialog. I want a full permission overview which can be created via right-click on a user.

Hey I've been messing around with this issue for a few hours and I'm stumped.

I created a lower level admin server group for my server, called it "Admin." I'm wanting to make it so that when Admins create a channel, they can edit the permission values in the "Regular Needed Powers" box to whatever value they want. Mainly, so they can set both "Modify" and "Delete" to their own power value (60), so only Admins can change or delete the channel.

The problem I've been having is that changing the "Modify" permission results in an error message "insufficient permission modify power." The channel gets created, and the delete value is set properly to 60, but the modify value is set to 0. When I right click the channel and use "Edit Channel" to try to set the Modify value to 60, it results in the same error.

I've been playing around changing things, and I found a way to force it to work. The Grant value of "i_channel_needed_modify_power" of the channel I created is default grayed out. By setting it to 60, then right clicking the channel, clicking Edit Channel, and setting the Modify permission value to 60, it works.

What I don't understand is why that would be messing things up, when the "i_channel_needed_delete_power" Grant value for the channel is also grayed out, and yet it still lets me set that value when creating or editing the channel.

Is there something I am missing?

i_permission_modify_power (Permisison Modify Power) also needs to be enabled and set to 75.

This example shows all needed permisisons to edit all channel permissions.
Please note that 75 is not the best value, because these users can edit even channels created from the Server admin.
You may use lower values here and/or add it to channel groups instead and not to a server group.

I'm unable to edit Regular Needed Powers as Server Admin. But File Transfer Needed Powers work fine.

Non of the permissions inside red isn't working but blue's are OK. How can I fix this ?

I changed i_channel_modify_power and i_channel_permission_modify_power to 100 on Server Admin using Admin Server Query, didn't help. (Both were 75)

What do you mean no grant ? Basicly every permissions already have grant as its nature in Server Admin.

Nope, you don't have Grant on the permissions you need (and some more Grants are misising).

Your Server Admin is messed up (compared to our default permisison layout).
You may fix your Server Admin group as mentioned. You can't re-add the Grant values without the ServerQuery or another Group who owns the Grant + is able to modify your Aerver Admin group.

Hello,

I am having two issues with setting up permissions for groups.

The first is that I am unable to set a group to be able to change channel permissions. I was wondering what the exact permissions where that affected this. Currently I have it set to:

T = True or Checked
F = False or Unchecked

i_channel_modify_power [20] [F] [F] []
i_channel_needed_modify_power

i_channel_permission_modify_power [20] [F] [F] []
i_channel_needed_permission_modify_power

b_virtualserver_channel_permission_list [T] [F] [F] []

The group is unable to edit any permissions listed under Edit Channel -> Permissions.
Is there a way to set a default modify permission on a channel?
I want that specific group to be able to set 20 on all channel permissions.

I followed everything you showed @dante696 but instead of putting 75 i put 70, it still says insufficient permissions when editing the channel's regular needed powers
