    Angry Permissions not working - channel still deletable

    Hi. I have a TS3 server with a problem.

    I have two admin groups:
    1) First admin group, with all permissions on 75 (default admin group, nothing changed).
    2) Second admin group is a new group, with "The group will be set as: Server Admin", and all grants on 70. It has b_permission_modify_power_ignore disabled (so that they are limited by permissions).

    I have created a channel, and set
    i_channel_needed_modify_power
    i_channel_needed_delete_power=75
    i_channel_needed_subscribe_power=75
    i_channel_needed_join_power=75
    i_channel_permission_modify_power=75
    i_channel_needed_permission_modify_power=75

    The problem is, group 2 is still able to delete the channel, despite that all other actions are not allowed. What the hell?
    I have spent two hours trying to figure this out. How do i prevent Group 2 from deleting the channel?

    You don't have to change GRANT, but VALUE

    If later, you need to change any grant, you will do

    I want them to be able to delete all other channels except mine.
    Is there a way to make the admin group obey channel's delete permissions?

    In that case, set in your channel:
    i_channel_needed_delete_power
    value > 75

    Don't forget change in 2šAdmin_Group
    i_permission_modify_power value < 70

    My channel's i_channel_needed_delete_power=75.
    2nd admin group already has i_permission_modify_power=70

    It doesn't work.

    The only way i found right now is to disable ability to delete permanent channels for the group, but it isn't a solution.

    I can only set 75, because my group is limited to 75.

    Second group can not access the channel i created, but they can delete it (even if "needed delete power" is 75), and it's the only thing they can. They should not be able to do so if their grant level is 70, and channel's access level is 75.
    Unless there is a flaw in the permission system, or i did something wrong.

    [COLOR=#888888][FONT=arial]We summarize:
    1 - You have changed Grant = 70 (this was not necessary)
    2 - Now, you have to change the values in the Value column, from 75 to 70 ( you can use Edit Permissions Group)

    Hello

    Don't forget, if a server group has b_client_skip_channelgroup_permission enabled, this server group "overwrite" the channel group and channel permissions.

    So, for the second admin group
    - Keep the grant value to 75 (as wrote Jordi, set all grant to 70 is useless here)
    - Set all permission to 70 (of course all necessary permission )
    - Uncheck the skip permission
    - Set the needed_delete power to your channels to 75

    I have tried to set b_client_skip_channelgroup_permission on and off for server group, it didn't help. With both on and off, i was able to delete the channel. I have tried to tick b_client_skip_channelgroup_permission on and off for both channel itself, and server group.

    All group permissions are set to 70.
    Here are my channel permissions. (needed_delete power is 75.)

    I have not changed the grant permission from 70 though, i doubt it could be the problem, because Group2 seems to ignore needed delete power (and only it!!). They can't ignore all other permissions..

    In the channel permission, the skip permission is useless.

    in the server group I seen the Skip channel group permissions. So at this moment (and according your screen shot) a user in this group can delete a channel.

    Unckeck it from this group.

    After that, if a user still can delete this specific channel, post it here a permission overview from him
    RIght click on him > Permissions > Permissions Overview > Export as PDF

    I am still able to delete this channel. I even created a new identity to try this out.

    Note that the group this user is in, is named "Server Admin", but it's not a copy of the default server admin, so it has less rights unless i manually enabled the rest.

    According to these permissions, it seems it should work.
    But...
    I am still able to delete this channel. I even created a new identity to try this out.
    Can you tell us in how many server group, this identity is?

    This identity is only in the group, permissions of which i posted. I double-checked.
    To me, it all should work too, but it doesn't...

    And the channel you want to delete is: "Welcome"?
