Failed to connect to weblist server.

Hi, I've had this issue with teamspeak client since downloading it yesterday. I attempt to open the server list and the error i receive is "Failed to connect to weblist server."
I searched for several hours to find an answer but no luck.
I've tried forwarding/opening the required ports; no luck. I've also tried running without my firewall on; still no luck. I'm on a 64bit OS and have even tried installing the 32bit client.

I also can't connect to any server:
    <16:58:01> Trying to resolve hostname
<16:58:01> Trying to connect to server on
<16:58:07> Failed to connect to server
I've tried pinging the server in the command prompt but the request times out. My friends insist that I'm putting in the information wrong but I've tried many, many times.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
