    Question TS3 + Mysql, server_properties not saved

    Hello,
I've installed my ts3 server with non-profit license. It works, mysql looks like okay because my tables are created at the first time I run the server. When I register my user with the tocken it's also written in mysql table.

BUT, when I rename my server, create channel or edit server properties (name etc) it's not saved in my mysql database ...

    Concret examples :
if I go directly to my database and edit this :
    virtualserver_name TeamSpeak ]I[ Server
    to this :
    virtualserver_name My Own Server
And I start my server after that, it keep "TeamsSpeak ]I[ Server"...

And If I edit from the in-game tools, in-game it's changed but not in mysql.

Do you have any solution ?

    Thanks for your help !
(Sorry for my english I speak french)

    Hello

First, NEVER make a changes directly on the database.

What is your server version ?
Do you try with the query commands ? Do you get the same result ?
Is there an error message in the log server ?
Do you check the mysql user permissions ?

My version : last one downloaded it today (amd64 debian)
querycommands : this works very good I use it to display players and channels on my website.
    no error message in log.

My mysql user have all the required rights.

My players are stored in mysql but my channels and my server no... It's strange...

    - The ts3db_mysql.ini file
    - The command that you use to start your server.

Do you mean, when you use the query command to change the server name, there is no problem, and if you change the server name by the client you get this problem ?

So, I repeat my question :
Do you try with the query commands (serveredit....)? Do you get the same result ?
Same is you change the server name by the client (Tools > Edit virtual server)

Not saved on your database ???
    Strange.

If you have teamviewer, send me in private message the ID and password. I'm really curious now.

    One more thing.
I hope (in the server_properties table) you search the virtualserver_name for the good serverID (not server ID = 0).
If it's the case, you look the wrong place.

Isn't this the only way to edit default server settings (like default servername, slots, and so on)?

    Only this one.
Are you 100% sure, that you look the good database ?

    @Elradon
You have to use the query command serveredit (select the server template with use 0). More information in the documentation.

I have the same problem. I changed some of the server properties with the server query and client app and these changes don't show up in the database. I checked both mysql and sqlite databases. The sqlite db is at /opt/ts3/ts3server.sqlitedb and the mysql database is in /var/lib/mysql/data/... and I used sqliteman and phpmyadmin for viewing the data. Even after server restart the data is not written in the database. I searched the entire server for sqlite and mysql and these are the only places where they sit.

Can anyone tell me when TS3 syncs with the database? Where is this information saved ? RAM?

    Thank you.

Never mind, there were 2 instances of teamspeak running so I had to kill one. Now the database is saved instantly.
