image URLs not updating on client

I post image URLs in channel descriptions on servers I use a lot. It seems like they wont update or change if the image on that URL changes. for example if an image URL on a server channel has changed it will not change for the person that put it on the server (in this case me). for everyone else it will change to the new image URL.

I was wondering what caused this. I found the images in my teamspeak folders and deleted and put them on the server again and they change for me. Is this the only way to make them change? Is there another way to make them update?

    Any help is appreciated. Thanks

I believe the client, once the image is embedded into the Channel Description, keeps the images cached until who knows when. In my experience, it's always best just to rename the image on the server, and edit the Channel appropriately. For example, if banner.jpg changes on the server, rename it to banner1.jpg and edit the Channel, or Server Banner with the new url.

As MoonShine stated every Image gets cached on the local harddrive forever unless you clear your cache. The only way to make them update if the original Image changed is to either delete that single file in the cache or clear the entire cache (Settings -> Options -> Security -> Clear Cache), which you can also do automatically everytime you close the client.

    channel description's image not updating.

I have a image in my channel that changes after a certain amount of time (it keeps the same url) . When i view the images online they work perfectly but in the description it doesn't. when i wanted to look up how to fix it i found that you should enable clear cache on exit. but not it's not displaying the images at all! the bbcode in question: (url=http://dragcave.net/view/SR6QI][img]http://dragcave.net/image/SR6QI.gif(/img][/url](url=http://dragcave.net/view/SvLPE][img]http://dragcave.net/image/SvLPE.gif(/img][/url] (url=http://dragcave.net/view/EgH1v][img]http://dragcave.net/image/EgH1v.gif(/img][/url](url=http://dragcave.net/view/eGcpx][img]http://dragcave.net/image/eGcpx.gif(/img][/url]
    (replace the ( with [
it works perfectly when i use something like an online bbcode viewer.
Are there any way's to fix this?

Sorry, if the url does not change the image neither will, this is due to it is cached.

In most cases, adding a questionmark followed by random stuff will help.
