    Hi I follow your tuto but I didn't manage to get things working.

    Here are the content of my ts3server.ini
    machine_id=
    default_voice_port=9987
    voice_ip=0.0.0.0
    liscensepath=
    filetransfer_port=30033
    filetransfer_ip=0.0.0.0
    query_port=10011
    query_ip=0.0.0.0
    dbplugin=ts3db_mysql
    dbpluginparameter=ts3db_mysql.ini
    dbsqlpath=sql/
    dbsqlcreatepath=create_mysql/
    logpath=logs
    logquerycommands=0
    and the content of my ts3db_mysql.ini
    [config]
    host='localhost'
    port='3306'
    username='MYUSER'
    password='MYPASS'
    database='MYDB'
    socket=
    first of all when I try ts3server_minimal_runscript.sh initfile=ts3server.ini my server is running using the sqlite plugin for the database part.

    Then I try to force the usage of the ts3db-mysql plugin by doing ./ts3server_startscript.sh start dbplugin=ts3db_mysql initfile=ts3server.ini but in this case I got the following error :
    db_exec() CREATE TABLE channel_properties ( server_id integer unsigned, id error: You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'AUTOINCREMENT NOT NULL, channel_parent_id integer unsigned, server_id ' at line 1
    db_CreateTables() unable to create tables
    I make some research over the forum but I didn't manage to find the solution to my problem, do you have any idea ?
    I am on a debian wheezy amd64

    For anyone searching for "libmysqlclient.so.15" I have found it here (Ubuntu x64):

    https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-securi...+build/3566965

    Cheers!

    First of all, netstat -tulpn and check if in fact server listens on :9987.
    Code:
    udp      704      0 0.0.0.0:9987            0.0.0.0:*                           5360/ts3server_linux
    If it does then a problem exists in firewall, don't ask me because I don't know your firewall.

    Hello! Great guide, I could get everything to run today.

    I have a question, would it be possible to install 2 teamspeak server on the same machine?

    (By tweaking a few settings, of course)

    It is but only if you have NPL license.

    If you do you can either add virtual servers (very easy, doesn't need another instance) or you can copy everything, change ports and database and start indepdendent instance. However virtual servers should satisfy you, as instance is really not needed for anything, one is enough.

    I did think about virtual servers but it is not an option.

    I did read about NPL license when I started my first Windows server a few months ago and at that time it required to have a website with no ads, static IP and stuff like that.

    Unfortunately for me, our guild website is hosted on a free site with ads at Guildworks and the Teamspeak server is hosted at home with a dynamic IP. (Although it doesn't change unless I reset my modem but all my network gear is on UPS...) It worked fine until now with a dynamic DNS service.

    I don't plan to grow big, it's only a temporary solution until our guild get bigger, it it gets bigger.

    Anyway..!

    Thank you for your answer, I'll try launching another instance tonight

    To launch another license without NPL you need another PC, either VPS or something which doesn't share "shared memory".

    Ah, I see. That's what I though.

    I guess I'll turn my "home server" into a virtualization host instead. 2 linux virtual machines with no GUI shouldn't require a lot of resources... if my old CPU support virtualization.

    I get this Message: not a dynamic executable

    I am running Debian 6 on the VServer.

    Any Help regarding this would be appreciated.

    Since I hadn't be able to find anything regarding my particular issue, I'll post my solution here in the hopes it helps someone else.

    MySQL Installation On Centos 6+ 64bit running WHM/cPanel
    Follow the tutorial until you hit the step concerning the database connection files (libmysqlclient.so.15) then:
    cd /tmp
    wget ftp://ftp.pbone.net/mirror/dev.mysql...es9.x86_64.rpm
    rpm2cpio MySQL-shared-compat-6.0.11-0.sles9.x86_64.rpm | cpio -idmv
    cp usr/lib64/libmysqlclient.so.* /usr/lib64/
    cp usr/lib64/libmysqlclient_r.so.* /usr/lib64/
    Follow the rest of the tutorial to get your teamspeak up and running without causing any conflicts with the existing server.

    I'm having the same issue as above, except I'm on Debian 7.

    You're probably on a 64-bit environment. Installing 32-bit compatibility libs should fix the issue.
    Code:
    sudo apt-get install ia32-libs
