Permissions required are the following, the location - either channel permissions or channel group - depends on how you want this to work as per my previous post.
    • b_channel_create_child
    • At least one of the following (depending on your needs):
      • b_channel_create_temporary
      • b_channel_create_semi_permanent
      • b_channel_create_permanent
    • At least one of the following:
      • b_channel_create_modify_with_codec_speex8
      • b_channel_create_modify_with_codec_speex16
      • b_channel_create_modify_with_codec_speex32
      • b_channel_create_modify_with_codec_celtmono48
    • Optionally any combination of the following to allow setting up certain parameters of the channel while creating:
      • b_channel_create_with_topic
      • b_channel_create_with_description
      • b_channel_create_with_password
      • b_channel_create_with_maxclients
      • b_channel_create_with_maxfamilyclients
      • b_channel_create_with_sortorder
      • b_channel_create_with_needed_talk_power

Question How can I differentiate my user admins rights to make channels that are temp/Simi

I have created a Server Group more permissions than an ordenary user.

They need the right to make Sim-Permanent sub-channels and Temporary Sub-channels,BUT
    only within certain Chennels.

    Example:

    *Flying (Spacer)
*Allied (Is is ok for them to make Sim-perm sub-channels here)
    ***Channel 1 (Sub-Channel)
    ***Channel 2 (Sub-Channel)
**Axis (Is is ok for them to make Sim-perm sub-channels here)
    ***Channel 1 (Sub-Channel)
    ***Channel 2 (Sub-Channel)

    *Meeting rooms (Spacer)
*Room 1 (The should only be allowed to make temporary sub-channels here)
*Room 2 (The should only be allowed to make temporary sub-channels here)
*Room 3 (The should only be allowed to make temporary sub-channels here)

See Post #15 for a solution.
You will need to adapt this to your situation, for example you will need to use channel groups in your case and you will need two of them one that only allows temporary channels and one that allows semi permanent channels too.
You can then assign those users that should be able to do it the respective channel group in the respective channels.

    Sub Channel Permissions

So what I'm trying to do is set a channel so only certain Server Groups can make temporary sub channels under it but not just under that one Channel no where else. Would a Grant power under Channel Permissions for the that one channel do what I need it to do?

The Server group is for General Server permissions. Unless you have otherwise changed all groups can create a temporary channel. If you have disabled this then you need to assign said user to a channel group of the particular parent channel.

Under the Channel Group Permissions, choose the group you created and Navigate to Channel-Create tab. Make sure to activate the following permissions

    b_channel_create_child Checked
    b_channel_create_permanent Un-Checked
    b_channel_create_semi_permanent Un-Checked
    b_channel_create_temporary Checked

For the other groups within the channel groups make sure create_Child and Create_temporary are unchecked. This should solve your problem. Channel groups are a much more efficient way of handling specific channel permissions. You can either send a privilege key or manually assign the user(s) that channel group. Hope this helps

If you haven't configured it up yet:
    - You have to remove guest server group rights to create channels(not editing them just create).
    - Then in specific channel permissions you have to allow them there.

Assuming from what you said, you already tried to set it up.

temp channel creation for users in one "root" channel?

    hi,

is it possible to allow users to create temporary channels in a specific channel and only this channel?
a group that has these permissions would be nice.

    Question Channel Question.

Is it possible to create a channel that where if anyone joins that channel they are then able to create a temporary channel from there without the need to assign them to a server group.

This is in order to avoid having to create multiple channels.

So for example they join channel #1, ch1 gives them the ablity to create a temp sub channel of ch1 only, they create temp sub ch2 and can name it whatever they want. They then leave temp sub ch2 back to ch1 & ch2 gets removed.

    Any help is appreciated.

Edit: Nevermind, i have figured it out for anyone that does want to do the same here is the solution.

Create Temp Channels for some User Groups

Hi everbody. I am sorry for my bad english, but i hope i can explain my problem as good as i can.

    Here we go:

I have got some user groups like "junior member", "regular member" and "senior member".

The last group should create temp channels in a special category and not at the buttom of the hole list. For example :

    -- Game Channel --

    1.) Game One
    2.) Game Two

    -------------------

    --Private Channels --

    1.) Member 1 <--------------------------------------
    2.) Member 2 <--------------------------------------

    ----------------------

    Thanks for your answers.

Angry [Help] Create Temp channels + Disable create channels

    Hello,

I spent the last 3 hours looking for a solution for the problem I have and I found nothing, I don't even know if this is possible with TeamSpeak or not and that's why I'm writing this topic.

What exactly I want to do is this:

1- Disable Create channel / Create sub-channel: I want all guests to have the option "Create channel" and "Create Sub-Channel" are disabled/dimmed when they click "right click" on any room.

2- Allow Sub channel as children in specific room: Guests are allowed to create only "Sub-Channel" as a children for a Room lets say "Guests Rooms" and it must be Temp.
    Example:
    Code:
    Guests Rooms
==> Guest1 Room (Temp: created by guest)
==> Guest2 Room (Temp: created by guest)
3- Hide Guests/Admin inside Encrypted Rooms: I want to hide the users in any Encrypted room except for Admins, so Guests can't see who's inside the Encrypted rooms while Admins can.

    Thank you

    Remove the related permissions b_channel_create_permanent, b_channel_create_semi_permanent, b_channel_create_temporary, b_channel_create_child

restrict all users to creating sub-channels in specific channel

I own a gaming community, and I am trying to set up a teamspeak server that will allow any user with our server password to be able to join and select a lobby or create a temporary sub-channel for their specific game with or without a password, the problem is I can not figure out how I am to do that, I ended up with the users not being able to make channels of any sort. here is my channel layout ( the channels with the * next to them are the channels in which a normal or guest user can create a sub-channel).

Note: I do have advanced permissions enabled in general, and I have played with channel and server group permissions, and have made no progress, please and thank you for all of your help! I have also messed with channel groups but it gives the user too much power and I want to restrict them to only being able to create a sub-channel in the private lobbies, I am trying to aim for a more organized teamspeak server, so when users join it is simple and looks clean.

-Welcome Lobby (this is the default channel)

    -Minecraft
    --MC Lobby
    --MC Private Lobby *

    -Garry's Mod
    --GM Lobby
    --GM Private Lobby *

    -Counter Strike: Global Offensive
    --CSGO Lobby
    --CSGO Private Lobby *

Something else to mention is that the main game categories are not able to be joined as they are used for organizational purposes only, and I am not sure what to do with grant permission, i have tried it with and without grant permissions.
