"Failed to connect to server" - Troubleshooting & Solutions

Hi folks,

my friends and I regularly use just one specific ts3 channel to communicate while gaming. For some reason, I am the only user unable to connect to the server while all of my friends can use it as normal.

The problem used to occur every now and then but could weirdly be resolved by restarting my pc. Now the issue is persistent although nothing has been changed. I even fully deinstalled ts3 including all configurations, wiped all registry entries, reinstalled ts3 and double-checked the firewall settings. The server admins let me know that my IP has not been banned either.

We're a bit stuck as there is no apparent reason for me not being able to connect to the server as the issue is solely connected to this specific server, meaning I can use every other server with or without password without any problems.

If you have any ideas we're very thankful for your help! Please keep in mind that I'm not really a pc guru, keeping things simple would be a big plus for me ;-)

I have no problems connecting to your server at all. Are you on the newest TeamSpeak version?

Maybe staff can help you here.

I am not sure if we are allowed to show the IPs here but since it is a public server I do not think it is a problem.

Hi,

Can't connect to this specific server. Have tried all the usuals like firewall etc. Can connect to other servers without issues.

I want to join a server but all the time ts3 says that i couldnt connect to the server, i find the server on the internet and the other guys have windows to and on the internet it shows the the server platform is linux, the other dosnt have connection problems and i have a high security level and it is the only server were i cant connet.

This is actually my own server but on a server, to rule out the basics this servers been running for over 4 years so its not port fowarding etc.

There are clients on the server however, I seem to be the only one with this issue.

Someone said somewhere, I think it was reddit that the DNS could be having issues and if you just use the normal IP then it should work, in that client log it trys that on one of the attempts but just for safety here is a client log of just an ip/port connection:

So i bought this new asus N16 modem and everything was fine expcept teamspeak.When ever i try to connect to a server it connects but it doesnt load the users and as soon as i click to switch channels i get timedout error.I had another asus modem before which TS worked fine with it and i copied all of it's setting on this new one and still problem not fixed.I tried uninstalling and also tried on other pc's with this same internet modem.I also dont know why but its related to the modem in my opinion.The modem works fine and I didnt have problems with it.Also this is the log I get :

After I switch channels this log goes on a loop.
BTW Some thing important I missed is that when I try connecting with vpn I CAN connect to the server but on my other modem I connect to the server with out using any vpn or proxy.The server I also fine all my friends exist there.

I've recently been unable to connect to any Teamspeak servers. I've tried to connect to a server from multiple different computers, laptops and network connections(Isp,Mobile data etc.)
I assume Teamspeak has been blocked by my country (or vice versa). Is there anyway I can go around this (except using vpns because I would be unable to play games with decent ping) ???

Edit by mod -> No we do not block any country.

I'll paste my logs down here so if anyone can confirm that Teamspeak is in fact blocked or can help me in anyway I would be very grateful.

Hello all , long time (15+ years) TS user

I have recently upgraded my internet to gig thru comcast. i am using

netgear nighthawk router(R6350)
netgear cm1100 modem

no problems with speed at 900+ down 40+ up

i am however being randomly booted from TS
looking at logs? not sure what to look for i guess.

anyone have issues with this? i havent used a router in ages...

i can say that the wifi is disabled on the router I use Plume pods for wifi instead for better coverage in our home..

its pretty rrandom when i get booted, and sometimes is far worse than others..
i never had the issue before with 400 down and 15 up

Hello,

This thing happened to me today. Like every day, I turned on the TS3 and out of nowhere it wrote, 'Failed to resolve hostname' ts3.survival-games.cz '. Could I ask why this is happening to me? At the same time, I'd like some advice on how to fix this. This is happening to me at all TS3 servers by ochre of those where I have a numerical IP address, so my domains don't work.
