**** SOLUTION **** ANSWER ****
Basically, your C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\TS3Client\sett ings.db file got corrupted.
Mine got corrupted when I started TS3 without my headset mic connected to the front mic jack and then I plugged it in and from that moment on it would crash when I tried to connect to any server AND ALSO when I tried to test the mic in the Settings --> Options --> Capture --> Voice Activation Detection, Begin Test. If your TS3 does not crash when you try to test the mic then this solution may not work for you.
So, to fix this we need to save your bookmarks and identities, wipe out the old database, generate a new database, and then import your bookmarks and identities.
THE FIX:
1) Start TS3 and go to Bookmarks --> Manage Bookmarks
2) For each bookmark, select it and then write down the information at the bottom for Label, Address, Nickname, and Server Password. Since there is no way to export them, you must do it manually.
3) Click Cancel to close the Bookmarks window.
4) in TS3, go to Settings --> Options
5) in the Options window on the left, select Security
6) click the Identity Manager button
7) in the Identities window, select your first identity and then click the Export button. If you get a warning pop-up, click Yes to proceed.
8) in the Export Identity window, navigate to your desktop or somewhere where you can find this file later
9) for File name, name it TS3Identity and append today's date. ex: TS3Identity20140824.ini
10) for Save as type, leave it as Ini files (*.ini)
11) click Save
12) repeat steps 7-11 for each additional identity if required.
13) Close TS3
14) In a file exporer, navigate to C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\TS3Client
Where <username> is the login name of your windows account. If you installed TS3 to save files elsewhere, you will have to find it yourself.
15) locate the settings.db and rename it to settings.db.BAD If you get a warning about renaming the file, click Yes.
16) Start TS3. This will regenerate the settings.db file.
17) in TS3, go to Bookmarks --> Manage Bookmarks
18) for each of your manually saved bookmarks, click Add Bookmark and enter in the information and click Apply.
19) Click Ok when finished.
20) Try connecting to a TS server.
Your identity should be preserved, however if it was not you have that backup that you exported in steps 4-11 so you can go to Settings-->Options. Select Security and click the Identity Manager button. Then click Import. Navigate to your saved identity and click Open. You should be back in business.
Good Luck!

Whenever I begin a test or try to connect to a server, this message shows up and then ends the client;

I'm having a feeling it has something to do with my headset compatibility, even though I've used the same headset for teamspeak for over 4 months now. And even when I use my normal laptop mic/speakers, the same message keeps coming up. I've reinstalled this countless times, and I don't know what I'm doing. Please help?![]()
