    Post Server won't start

    Hey everyone, I have been trying to set up a new TeamSpeak 3 server on my VPS, which is running Ubuntu Server. Every time I try to start the server it crashed with this error:

    To me it seems, that:
    1. you don't have an NPL license
    2. you don't have shared memory mounted


    So, if you want to run a unlicensed TS server you should mount /dev/shm

    What does that mean?

    That means you have to mount shared memory. Teamspeak without a valid license uses shared memory to check wether or not an other instance is running on the very same host. And if no shared memory device is mounted this check at teamspeak start up fails. And further is this check fails teamspeaks for its own sake does not start because it could not determine if an other instance is running or not.
