Is it possible to make this?

I was wondering if it was possible to have teamspeak show idle times on users like below, I don't know if teamspeak will allow a timer to display like that next to a users name or not. I know it would have to be a plugin if it was even possible.

Yes you can see everyone's total time connected via the TS3 query (server side). But updating an individuals 'tag' (Aka a group, groups name) generates bandwidth and TS3 server load, as every client needs the new information sent to their workstation(s).

Looking at this from a server-side perspective, I can't see it being vary efficient, I've experimented with displaying ones Bytes Sent/Received and Ping & other statistical information via group names, and since it's not cached, the server does a little more work trying to share the update(s) for every single client connected.

That's why ЯbMod, for the most part, relies on icons (which are cached) to visually make informative changes beside a clients name, such as the status feature, which is kinda what you're after. This too generates server bandwidth / CPU cycles, but not nearly as much as renaming a group name 'tag' or any other means I've looked into over the past few months.

Perhaps a client-side plugin, with proper permissions, can get the job done here, but this would also require every client to download / install the plugin of course...

If you right click on a person and hit show connection window you can see that information being shown in real time. I guess the plugin would have to be able to read that information with out showing that extra window that pulls up. But I will go take a look at ЯbMod and see what it offers. Thanks for the reply.

It's indeed requestable via the Plugin API. However there're some cave-eats:
The docs don't, iirc, state this being available automagically, so if it needs to be pulled from the server, that'd be kinda nasty for an overview style implementation.
Second, we can't enter this information into the standard client windows user rows to the left, or let's say it would be quite a hack. Dunno about the options of skins, though.
Plugins could just visualize it, apart from own windows of course, in the information area to the right.
